I agree! Does someone knows sites who sponsors animated movies too?

yeah, im an animator not an ASer, so that would help as most of these are gaming sites, not animation sites.

There aren't a lot of them, apart from NG (as Psycho mentioned) I only know of Flash Portal. At least they used to sponsor movies, but it's been a while since I saw their logo on pretty much anything, so I don't know if they do sponsoring anymore :/

Yes, usually they do. Sometimes they might not if you do use a paypal, but if there's no other option, then often they can. Not everyone does though.

ok, i am worried about 1 thing, i am going through a sponsorship at the moment (i aint saying names coz i could be all wrong), and i am a bit worried, i he hasnt replied to me in a while, and i am curious about what is going on, now if he has stolen my work, and if i let another person sponsor me, will he be able to sue for ownership rights, knowing the fact i have the ACTUAL flash file and swf. file, plus i have e-mails about all of it.

so, can he steal my work and sue for ownership rights? thats my question?

I'd bet he didn't steal it. Say the name though because then we can tell you if they're reliable or not. If it's someone like Armor Games, Crazy Monkey Games, or someone else we know well enough, then no, they most likely did not. If it's someone who no one has any knowledge of, then maybe. Tell use the name or it's no real use. Also, they can take a while because they're busy, or sometimes have to consider with others if they should or shouldn't sponsor it. Don't be so paranoid :).

i'm not paranoid, i am just a bit curious, and i am not sayin there name becuase if what i am saying isnt 100% true, then my words could have an inpact on there sponsoring, and i dont want to do that to anyone

Yeah, I doubt he stole your work. Sometimes your email get's put into the junk mail pile and they don't see it, so it's a good idea to send it again if they do not reply back in a few days. Another possibility is that they just aren't interested. Most of the time a portal will tell you if they are not interested but they are very busy and don't get to all of them.

Im not sure why flash ninja clan didn't answer, he usually answers VERY fast, like within the minutes.

But once you make one good game that gets popular I think sites will reply if they aren't interested in one of your games because they want to make sure you will come back to them if you have anymore games.

The biggest part of getting a good deal is just sending out your game to as many sites as you can. Not just the main few, because you will be surprised what kind of deals some of the smaller sites give. But it is a good idea to put your game up on a private URL and site lock it just incase a site decides to steal it. Ive never had that happen and doubt that it would happen, but do it if your going to be sending it to sites that sponsor but have no good reputation.

Anyways that was my feelings on everything, take it or leave it :)

Is it crazy monkey because I'm having reply problems with them too. He gave me an awesome offer but then when I e-mailed him back to confirm, he never got back to me. It's been a week and I sent another reply just in case he didn't get the first for whatever reason. Does anyone know if he has died/gone on vacation?

At first there was nothing, then it exploded. - Big bang

For my first sponsored game, ButtonHunt 2:
http://www.kongregate.com/games/achilles 015/buttonhunt-2

Kongregate +++++

I sent my game to various sponsors and Greg from Kongregate responded the fastest and had the best offer. He was very friendly and maintained communication with me until the game was posted and the check was in the mail. He also treated me as a professional regardless of my age.

Seriousness ++++

Greg was very serious and, as said above, treated me like a professional. I didn't give him a five here because he wasn't so serious he didn't take the time to compose friendly responses.

Money +++++

Greg offered the most money out of all the people I contacted. I also recevied money for placing third in Kongregates weekly contest and ninth monthly. All three checks arrived very quickly and without any hassle. I was also allowed to keep MochiAds in my game.

Efficient +++++

I spoke with him about what branding he wanted put into the game (a very reasonable amount) and ran the final file by him. I added the Kongregate API and posted. Simple as that.

Social +++++

Greg was very friendly and responded to my emails quickly.

I would highly recommend Kongregate to anyone.

I think crazy monkey games. Because they say in their sponsor thread that they will stick the flash to every hole they can :). As other sponsors seem to have gone with the line that it's your flash and you distribute it yourself to other portals.

The guys at MaxGames seems to be really good at spreading your game. I got PacMan Platform 2 sponsored by them over a year ago, and even though it's not really that a great game, it appears all over the internet and still has many thousands of views every day.

If anybody's interested, here's the MochiBot stats for it :P

Seems very nice! :) May I ask how much money you've made with the mochiads with that game? If you dont want to tell publicly, you could pm me...

Mochiads wasn't around at that time, so I didn't use it, and the agreement between me and MaxGames prevents me from adding it now. I believe that I mentioned it in the very first post of this thread, so I guess it can't hurt to say it now as well, that the sponsorship was on $750. At that time the amount surpassed my expectations by far, but if I had been using MochiAds and it still got the same amount of views I would have earned quite a bit more :P I never expected the game to get such a big impact though, I believe that much of it is thanks to MaxGames, and thereby it's not safe to say that I for sure would have earned more with Mochiads.

Wow 13 mill.. On mochi ads you get like 400 bucks per million views. So you might have gotten like $5.2k on Mochi ads if you had it on.

For me a big part of choosing a sponsor is havign them distribute my game well, so thanks for your replies.

DreamworkX: If you want you could put your Mochi bot stats link on this discussion. Im collecting a bunch of links so I can see what site gives the most plays on average.

Yeah, it's not quite as simple though. If I had been using MochiAds I obviously wouldn't have gotten the help spreading it that I did from MaxGames, and some sites refuses to host games with MochiAds. It probably would have given more, especially in the long run seeing that it's still quite popular, but it's impossible to speculate in figures imo.

Sure thing :)

I've checked a couple sites already and most of the best ones don't allow it: adult material. I'm about done with a Dating Sim I wanted to throw mochiads onto but then I found out they don't accept adult material. So, does anyone know of, or ever worked with, a sponsor that allows adult materials? Also, can I still get sponsored if the game uses copyrighted materials? It's based on a popular Video game franchise but the art for it is fan made.

Hey, nice thread. Just wondering if anyone has seen the new Armor Games Intro on there website anywhere if so can you post a link to the .fla so I can stick it in my intro. It may be a while until my game is done, but I just like seeing the intro to my game done.

Thanks!

Apparently no one is willing to sponsor my game, which really sucks. At least that's what I am guessing it means when you send the game out to 7 different sites and the only one to get back says they are "not interested at this time."

Can't pretend I am not disappointed, so I am probably going to scrap the whole flash 8 3D thing and maybe even game development for a while.

Here is the what is apparently a miserable failure unworthy of even a letter of decline:

Hey Guys

I see people have problem with game sponsoring so I decided to post in this thread to make it easier for you to monetize your game.

I just finished 2nd round of reviews and buying game on mochiads forum and I am ready to buy more.

I am buying non-exclusive rights to source code.

Read what developers write about me here

https://www.mochiads.com/forum-pub/comme nts.php?DiscussionID=994&page=2

To sell non-exclusive rights to source code send email to webadmin@metasearch.us
with subject line FLASH GAME SALE so I my email client can filter your email to special folder which I actually read.

I am getting tons of spam so please remember to put FLASH GAME SALE in the subject line

I review all games and I always respond to email with game to review.

Of cause I do not buy all games. So far I bought little less than 40% of games I got to review from mochiads forum

So do not be shy and send your game to review. The worst what can happer is that I will tell you that I will not buy this specific game and will ask you to send more in future.

Andrew

Yes, definitely put the game up on FlashGameLicense.com as has been suggested. I really think you could get a decent sponsorship from this (I am co-owner of FGL).

Also, be sure to do this and seek a primary sponsor before taking any non-exclusive offers. I know people have been happy with xodo's offer, but you want to make sure the game gets sponsored before accepting any non-exclusives. In many cases you can end up getting both :)

Also, anyone else seeking sponsorships or licenses on their games should put their games on FGL, we have helped developers make well over $100,000 in deals in the last 4 months alone. We have approaching 200 sponsors looking at games. And it makes it much easier to contact these sponsors by using our PM system.

I was offered a good non-exclusive license from Casualcollective.com, but I know nothing of the site and I'm concerned it's a scam. Anybody has any experience dealing with them? Or opinions, just judging from their site. They don't seem to have that many visitors, yet they offered me $1,000 for a non-exclusive license.
