This thread is for the purpose of compiling(in no particular order) the names of songs with the greatest GUitar Solos of all time. Why? Why not?
However, since I don't want this thread to get out of hand, I must state some rules:
1. Don't repeat song names, that's tedious
2. No one gives a fuck how good you are at guitar, so don't go off topic and talk about it
3. State the name of the song, the artist, and the album.
4. Arguing is allowed
I'll start us off with one that isn't Stairway to Heaven
Eruption
Van Halen
The average BBS user couldn't detect sarcasm if it was shoved up his ass.

ANYTHING by Steve Vai. Narrowing down more, I'd say For The Love of God, or The Audience is Listening. Also, Cowboys from Hell - Pantera!

I think my personal favourite solos are contained in "December Flower" by In Flames on their album the Jester's Race, "Scarified" by Racer X off of Second Heat (Paul Gilbert > Everyone else), & "Retribution-Storm of the Light's Bane" by Dissection off of Storm of the Light's Bane.

I know with Guitar Hero 80s being out, people are gonna think I'm coping out a bit, but I thought that the guitar solos in Play With Me by Extreme was the greatest guitar solo I've ever heard. From beginning to end.
Two Minutes to Midnight by Iron Maiden gets a honorable mention too.
