Hey Newgrounds: Do You Read?

I was curious to see how many NG users are regular book readers.

I used to read a lot of fiction in elementary school, but now I never have good enough time to sit and read, although I still like it.

I also notice kids who go "Reading is Stupid!" are fucking idiots. I got my great memory and vocabulary from reading, so I'm an overall smarter person for reading.

So NG, did you ever read a lot, or do you read now? Any kinds of books are fine, not just fiction.

I read Sahara by Clive Cussler. Best book evar.

i read harry potter, thats it for the last 5 years or so.
and textbooks.. but they don't count.

I feel like an asshole every time I admit to reading Harry Potter, because everyone I talk to about it love to verbally abuse me. Especially here.

I just finished "the perks of being a wall flower" my teacher gave me a book of Edgar Allen so I'll get started on that too....Oh yes and Harry Potters coming out but...I won't risk life and limb to get it...I can wait.

I just finished reading The Bridge of San Luis Rey, which was excellent.

I read pretty regularly I guess, maybe 2 books a month.

I read everyday for 2 hours in the evening...
I read bios, history, fantasy and stuff like that...

I'm counting books i have read - 58 by yesterday.

I read all of Cirque Du Freak. mainly last year, but i finished a few (including the last one) this year. They are very good. I also have the first Demonata book. ill read it eventually.

Dragon's Blood [and the other two in the series]

All of these are great reads, but beware if you read the Sword of Truth series. Two things, 1.) Start from the first book, Wizard's First Rule.
2.) You'll never put it down.

I did read The Broker by John Grisham. It was fantastic, I highly recommend it.

Yes, I read almost every day. I really liked the Redwall series by Brian Jacques.

I used to read, ALOT.
I think I got smarter and got a better memory because of that, I had a huge bookshelf in my room, Because My parents couldn't find any other place to put it.

Now I don't read at all.

I do some self help reading as well as fantasy or sci fi novels.

I don't do the self help reading thing too much since I like to go out in the world and apply that knowledge.

I usually read fantasy novels by R.A. Salvatore in the Forgotten Realms series as well as Starcraft novels.

I also read the occasional biography of people with glamourous and interesting lives.

I read quite a lot. Especially when I can't fall asleep. Currently I'm reading Joyce's 'A portrait of an artist as a young man' and I've just finished Coetzee's 'Waiting for the barbarians'.

i love to read, my dad will let me stay up 2 hours late just to read. i have straught a's in school and its because ive been reading since i was four.

I read, I read all the time, right now I'm on classics, I just finished vanity fair and I'm reading little women.

my fav genre is fantasy, I love tolkien, mccaffrey, piers anthony, and jeniffer fallon, just to name a few.

of course fiction and biographys are great too. so ya I read.

The only book i have ever read was the hobbit, that was on my own time and im not counting boks for school or book reports,

with the internet and e books selling for 25 cents a pice i realy see no need for books any more, just the bible.... lol...

books are a waste of paper when soo many people have a computer and every one in almost any city atleast has access to one. also books sell for many times more than what you can get it online for.
