Using .SUB files 2007-06-21 06:38:37 Reply

I have recently acquired a great movie to add in my collection, but this is the first time it came with a .SUB file. My english is quite well, but I'd like to show this to my friends sometime and if I could have subtitles, that would be great.

Let's say the movie was called "Newgrounds", there are three files:

-Newgrounds.idx
-Newgrounds.avi
-Newgrounds.sub

How do I manage to get the subtitles in the movie?

If you're trying to say I'm doing illegal stuff here, not every movie is prohibited from downloading and burning to disk you numbskull.

When I was eleven I went to america for three weeks and four days. The only dutch person I met was in a bookstore, and I talked like 2 minutes with her.

So yeah, I guess apart from some very nitpickish mistakes, my english isn't as bad as most people on these boards. While most of them are Americans themselves.

Seriously, look at other users we have, I can understand what he's saying and he has a decent use of grammer so fuck off and leave him alone.

No, I was poking fun at the "UPDATE" thing, referencing the the "UPDATE" segment on Unsolved Mysteries(picture), kind of hard to explain. ..I guess. Carry on.

I downloaded some sort of codec that automatically plays the .sub file in your media player if theres one in the same folder as the movie file. Can't actually remember what it was :D

Try using VLC player, that lets you select a file you want to use for a subtitle track
