crap my game is gone with the wind now. oh and i dont know if you had it on your list "wiggi fire rescue" you might have put it as fire emergency or something since there turned out to be so many fire games. well anyway drats!! and good job to all the recent participants expecially dance dance wiggi, thats some snazy stuff surprised it didnt get frontpage or did it?
I wouldn't say that at all. Although "Dance Dance Wiggi" does look fantastic graphically, there are many other entries that offer a lot more varied gameplay. I, personally, don't see much point to DDR-type games unless you're actually dancing to play them, or they offer something more than "push-the-button, get rewarded or crapped-on" play. But, obviously, that's just me... and others will feel differently.
I have a 4 year old, and she loved the idea presented in the game I was making... she loved the animations of the guys getting captured by the vines especially, so much so, that she was determined to learn to play it. And she did... and she was even good! My guess is, if I were to plop her down in front of the dancing game, she would become bored very quickly, even if I were able to effectively explain to her the beat-matching for key-presses (which I somewhat doubt, as even I had trouble matching the key-strokes with the beat sequence).
Anyway... all of the games offer something unique, and the judging can't come down to the one that looks the best, can it?
