Official WiggiWorld Contest - $4000

My real-world job is the Art lead for www.wiggiworld.com. I suggested to our board of directors that, if we held a contest on NG, we'd be sure to generate some high-quality games for our upcoming arcade...I was able to get a large sum of money approved to give away as prizes, so don't let me down Newgrounders!

Wiggi World Game Contest:

Prizes include:

1st- $4,000
2nd - $1,750
3rd - $750
4-7th - $500

A $100 bonus to the first 5 submission also featured on the NG front page.

Games have to follow some strict, but simple, rules so please read the full contest rules here

I know it seems weird to hold a contest on NG for games made for kids, but I know NGers have it in them and the prizes are worth making something clean.

Instead of shooting people with bullets in the face, have him shoot candy into people mouths to end world hunger...

Unless....

If I added fire sprites on top of the enemies, changed the weapon to a hose and changed the swearing to small talk about fishing, I would have a perfectly good fire safety game!

Instead of sending you our name/address, can we send a paypal account instead?

And also, if one game has a high score considered to be 100, and another game has a high score considered to be 1,000,000, how would you sort that out into the dollars in your WiggiWorld?

This is just a guess, but on other sites like this there's a point total equivalent to the earnings in each game. Like 10 points= 1 wog or whatever.

Yeah, we can accomodate Paypal.

Each game will have its own Wog conversion rate...ie: in a game where top score is 100, then 100 will yield the "gold medal" worth 100 wogs, in a game where the point range goes to 2 million, then 2 million will yield the gold medal of 100 wogs.

Just thinking of the idea makes me throw up a little... anyway, I've already started on my game. It's an adventure game where you have to make the right choices to move on.

Yeah, I've been educated on how "Wog" could be offensive...I've passed the info on to my superiors and we'll see if they consider it serious enough to make a change.
