Many of you are familiar with BoMToons, due to his award winning Flash and art forum contributions. Outside of life on NG, BoMToons is the art/UI lead for the upcoming site, Wiggi World!

Wiggi World is a site aimed at teaching 1st-6th graders Internet safety in a fun MMORPG-style format. To help launch their arcade section, we're having a contest right here on Newgrounds! The deadline is August 10th and the prizes (provided by Wiggi World) are quite generous:

1st Place - $4,000
2nd Place - $1,750
3rd Place - $750
4-7th Places - $500 each

The first five submissions to be featured on the front page of NG will also win a $100 bonus!

This contest is a great opportunity for anyone who has been itching to make a kid-friendly Flash game. Be sure to thoroughly read and follow the rules to be eligible!

To summarize your current contest options:

1) If music games are your thing, check out the Rock Out contest, where ten winners will $1,750 in prizes each! The current #10 entry has a score of 2.68 - if you can beat that, chances are you'll score a sweet prize package.

2) JAZZA is running a Paladin DVD contest, where five winners will receive free copies of the DVD! This is a great way to help a fellow artist generate excitement for his series and DVD, and all submissions will be featured on the upcoming Paladin series page! Entries must be received prior to the release of episode five, in mid-July.

3) Musicians should check out the Castle Crashers music contest, where the winners will receive cash prizes and possibly licensing deals to have their songs used in the upcoming Xbox Live Arcade game!

In prize-related news, Newgrounds made it into the Webware 100, as one of the top 10 entertainment "web applications"! Yay!!!! Also, congrats to Knox on his 100th win here on NG.

Also, DaveMan-CI set up a 22 man Counter-Strike server! He is looking for players, as well as people who may want to donate for the future upkeep of the server. Take a look at his thread if you're a CS fan, and check out our Counter-Strike collection while yer at it!

Agreed, if theres not too many submissions, then even the bad ones will get prizes.

There are a lot of good flashes here on NG that kids can watch and also enjoy.
I don't know if they'll learn something but there are definetly some authors that could make good games for kids.
