What will happen to the Gaza strip?

What do you think the fate of the Gaza Strip will be? Will Israel leave the Palestinians to their fate, fighting each other, or will Israel re-occupy Gaza and bring on peace/more fighting?

The Gaza is a useless piece of land, with no resources, The west bank is a useless piece of land with no resources. Golan Heights is well I guess Golan heights has some agricultural value. I can't believe such a tiny pebble on a tiny beach (compared to the rest of the world), could cause the world so much problems.

Wow, way to support war crimes you fuck. The american government wouldn't dare make such a move. Why is it that these crazy americans think "hamas" is synonymous with "terrorist?" Why are americans so hateful towards muslims and the middle east? The whole thing reminds me of England in India 300 years ago. If you study the history of their take over, all of their actions were taken to "give India Freedom!" Maybe there's a reason why americans don't learn world history in school?...Anyway, It took them a long time to finally gobble up India, and it's going to take the USA a long time to gobble up the Middle East. Fortunately, by that time Super China will take over, if the USA hasn't destroyed our planet yet.

I'll prolly be dead when SC takes over, but that's besides the point. Actually, no it's not.
The reality is that none of this matters because we'll all die. While alot of people seem to think that it makes sense to keep the human race going, there are those of us that realize it's quite pointless, just like ants and flowers and everything else in this universe that exists. However, it's worse for some of us because we are so aware of the futility of nature.
Back on topic, i must say in a discussion that surrounds geopolitics, while i agree with no country (by default), i will support the lesser of evils, by default.
Also, the idea that the government of china blocks certain websites that criticize it, makes sense from a certain point of view...theirs. Alot of countries try to block things that they are afraid will cause strife in their nation. The USA does it in a way by promoting so many views and so much information, which takes facts like global warming or Kerry's war record and makes people believe that actually ARE up for debate... Why do countries do things like this?
Because they want all their people working together to make a better country, or atleast what "they" think is a better country. In terms of ideals, don't you want americans all working together to make a better america???
Unlike the USA, China is a one party nation, so the things they do to censor views contrary to their own, are almost natural, and can probably be forgiven. It's all evil, but whatever...In the long run, i like China better than america. A one party nation gives good odds.

Probably because Hamas for years has been a militant organisation with the sole aim of destroying Israel. They may have become invovled in democratic elections, but they haven't changed that much.

Its just the American governments foreign policy ( note the use of the word government, which is not the same as the American people) over in the middle east sucks and is more concerned with securing American interests than alleviating the situation, which is sort of understandable, though it isn't a good thing really.

If you're referring to Britain's take over of India, it was more the whole' lets civilise the savages' thing, which is kind of ironic considering they have the oldest democracy in the world, and as such could be argued to be more civilised than the west ever was, and ever will be.

'Super China' won't take over for a number of reasons

1) Their economic growth is not sustainable. They have an ageing population at some point in the near future they're going to have more elderly dependants than they do people of working age. it doesn't take an economist to work out that's a bad thing.

Their population will get to that point long before they are actually a threat. Unless they can solve that problem, China will never be a super power.

India however is a nation to watch with great interest.

2) China's military is crap. It's big, but lacks the logistics or technology to make it a threat outside of China itself. Britain could quite easily take out China without support form US or EU troops. It would just involve mass bombings of the Eastern provinces that are developed. China's development is all in one area, take that out the country goes to ruins.

And America isn't going to destroy the planet either. If anyone is its China with the whole spewing out more and more carbon emissions each year without even trying to solve the problem, which America is, though its at a state and not a federal level.
