China is pissed at the U.S. because bush shook hands with the Taiwan government official. I don't know how this didn't get any media attention in the U.S. but just to clarify this is not Bushes fault that china is pissed at us. We made a treaty with Taiwan that if anyone invades them that we will help and Taiwan is wanting to gain independence from China and China doesn't want Taiwan to leave China so the U.S. is in a pickle because if Taiwan says it is now independent from China then China is going to invade Taiwan and if that happens we will have to attack China and defend Taiwan. The U.S. is in a pickle

Taiwan is going to say it is independent from China and so China will invade Taiwan. U.S. will defend Taiwan and because of that China is going to attack the U.S.. It's because back then Taiwan was seen as the big cheese of China and China got all pissed because Taiwan made all the decisions.

China wouldn't do anything to the US. We buy so much of their shit, they'd have almost no economy without us and I think most European nations, whatever they claim to disagree with the US on, would still side with the US over China in a potentially devastating, nuclear war. Why? China is not a true democracy yet, US and Europe are very close culturally and ethnically compared to Europe and China, and finally, the US has the most nukes and advanced military out of any other country. Even China with its gabillion people wouldn't survive a few well placed nukes, especially since China's population is so concentrated on its eastern coast. America on the other hand, has major cities spread throughout the nation.

This isn't bushes fault, but he is not the guy that should be handling these type of situations to. China is overreacting to make the U.S. look like a traitor because China wants to see the U.S. fall so it can become the superpower of the world since it is runner up next to the U.S..
