Yes! There needs a little flashing icon, or the 'inbox' needs to be flashing or something.

Because of the fact that I'm expecting PMs from about 3 different people, I check it daily.

Everyday, when I check my blam/protect and experience rankings.

I actually got 6 new messages from one person yesterday, but there was no subject, so I can't read them :(.

Every so often. There needs to be some sort of indicator that you have a new message, like the inbox icon will start to flash as soon as you log on.
