Many believers think that there religon dominates everyone elses religon, and most of there religon has 1 main rule (even Christans) quoted from the bibe(s), "Beleive me as your only god(s), or you will go to hell." That sentence started the death of muslims and any other religon that started this mess.
Muslims: There are only a few million of them in this world, if not less then a billion(if im right no offense to anyone if your a muslim) they are always getting killed in the eastern countrys and even some in the western country's like south america. They get killed because they don't beleive in the other religon's culter. Its one of the strangest ones to, women HAVE to cover up there skin. It makes them look like weaklings. Muslim men enforce this relgious law with physical force. Like for example from my own experience. When I went to malasia with my family, all of the men there were checking out my grandma with there angery eyes, because they thought she was muslim. One guy came up and punched her straight in the eye which almost blinded her. I got angry and me and the guy fought. While we were fighting he was wimping out and saying she deserved it because she didn't follow muslims law. I took a chair and smashed it on him and walked away with my family. Muslims also have the no "snitching" rule. So I guess thats why I didn't go to court(opinion) Thats the biggest religon, in my my opinion, that has to go. So to conclude...if there was no Muslims, there would be less killing in the world, less wars(fact/opinion) and more baby blooms(fact/opinion)
Christians: Christians are like heartless vampires who feed on praying. One faithful christian prays for a 2 weeks straight(in minutes) every year, That isn't bad, but wtf? The god that christians believe is eather a greedy bastered, or a heartless fiend, because as quoted in the bible, as I said from the top, "You must beleive in me every moment you live or you will go to hell." lol. Priests, who read the bible everyday, say that as long as your good you wont go to hell...so not believing god it bad? that is just plain silly. If some christian gets a thought that god isnt real for one second...he will go to hell. So the bible is eather faulty...written by people who wanted power and money badly(priests) or the reson to live is to go to hell and burn forever. Hell...if god loves everyone in the word so much (quoted by the bible) why would he put you in hell for not believing in christianity or just stealing candy from a baby? another loop hole from the bible. If god written the bible and past it on his faithful "servents" (quoted from bible) he would not want loop holes in his bible. So its man made and its faulty.
The "old" bible said that if you see a jew, you should go to the jew and kill him/her. "Even if it's a child or a baby" (quoted from the "old" bible) Now it has somehow been "changed" by man...god could care less, he wouldn't let man change his bible...so if man changed it, everyone in this earth will go to hell no matter what if christianity was real.(fact/opinon)
Jesus is a legend, not a opinon or a fact, a legend. The bible says its a fact, but men *think* there was a virgin mary, and a baby jesus. Then bible just enforces it, I don't even need to go to details, its a waste of time. Now, there is a good side and a bad side if there was no christianity. The good side is that billions of people aren't mentally weak anymore, and tecnology would be better then japan's itself.(most christians live in America) (fact/opinion/joke)
The bad side is that most athiests are agressive when it comes to religon, not all, but most. So there would be wars against all countrys, and we do have nuke deposits that weren't destroyed after the Cold War. USA would nuke every country in the world. (opinion)
I will do more research on buddism, and athiests.
Religon: Ok, since we got done threw a couple of specifics. We will go to all of religon. Most bibles have loop holes in them that religous people are to *holy* to see. All of the bad sides have most of them, won't go to details, but if you think im faulty, look at the bible yourself, and study. Now, religous people who pray are weak minded(fact) because they beleive in a super natural being that could change there lifes forever, it makes them beg, ask, cry, etc to them all the time when they pray. The only super natural being that science can prove is nature. Nature takes its own course and it listens to no ones crys. Weak minded people are usally physically weak and extreemly mentally weak...now your saying that your buff and religous, that means you are eather not a faithful religous person, or you are buff, but you act like a pussy. So the moral of this thread is; if there was no religon in this world, 72% of yearly deaths would drop severly. And there would be less wars in the future.
Now, what I want you to post down is:
-critisism(flamming)
-agreements
-disagreements(smart flamming)
-and other things that would happen if there was no such thing as relgion, for example...
There would be no good friday
No honicca
(Christmas will survive because santa is a made up guy for kids, and all adults know that.(smart ones that is)
etc
etc
And btw, I don't care if your religous and you think this is hurtful, this somewhat politics, and its just my opinion

Thats true, but is it because of religion?
The crusades were used as an excuse to invade the middle east, heretics and witches were prosecuted so severely and commonly as a scare tactic to force people to be good.
The things you think religion would cause would happen anyways, only under a different influence.
Muslims: There are only a few million of them in this world, if not less then a billion(if im right no offense to anyone if your a muslim)

I cant say for sure about south america (where I havent heard of any islamic hate killings), but I know that the middle east isnt in turmoil because of religion.
Its one of the strangest ones to, women HAVE to cover up there skin. It makes them look like weaklings.
Its the culture and tradition, and its meant to preserve the beauty and dignity of a women.
I got angry and me and the guy fought. While we were fighting he was wimping out and saying she deserved it because she didn't follow muslims law. I took a chair and smashed it on him and walked away with my family.
Yeah I find this hard to believe.

Spoken like a true Israeli.
Christians:
You dont know anything about religion, do you?
Now, what I want you to post down is:
After I read that christian part I really doubt your 21, and that you know anything about religion outside of your group of 13 year old friends.

Jews don't have a "hell." Christianity invented it.

There's about a billion or so, it's the second largest next to christianity. Also, i'd like a link that connects muslims getting murdered in south america...or doing the murdering???
They get killed because they don't beleive in the other religon's culture. Its one of the strangest ones to, women HAVE to cover up there skin. It makes them look like weaklings.
Isn't it against the law in the USA to walk around naked in public? Take a look in the mirror before you judge other cultures.

I highly doubt this would ever take place, especially in Malaysia. Please don't make up ridiculous stories.

So you're saying genocide is okay? Why not start with the jews, there's way less of them.
Christians: Christians are like heartless vampires who feed on praying. One faithful christian prays for a 2 weeks straight(in minutes) every year, That isn't bad, but wtf?
What christian? I know christians that never pray.
The god that christians believe is eather a greedy bastered, or a heartless fiend, because as quoted in the bible, as I said from the top, "You must beleive in me every moment you live or you will go to hell." lol.
That's not in the bible.

Ofcourse it's ridiculous, read up on some history and find out what the church did when they did have power over people.

While your argument is a bit ridiculous, the idea is there, as man did write the bible.

While i don't believe that a magic man named jesus ever existed, i don't think you've researched the bible enough to make such an argument.
The bad side is that most athiests are agressive when it comes to religon, not all, but most. So there would be wars against all countrys, and we do have nuke deposits that weren't destroyed after the Cold War. USA would nuke every country in the world. (opinion)
Actually, pretty much any atheist i've ever met is a humanist, who believes that we should work for the betterment of mankind.
I will do more research on buddism, and athiests.
PLEASE do.

Nature is not "SUPERnatural" by default.
Nature takes its own course and it listens to no ones crys.
To suggest that nature has a course or a cause, suggests intelligence, which points to some sort of supernatural "thing." Please do a little more research before suggesting/implying that social darwinism is the same as darwinism.

You need more research, you seem really young, but if you sit down and read some books, perhaps by authors like Dostoevsky, Orwell, Huxley, Atwood, Voltaire(read Candide), and many more great authors you might develop a well rounded world view. Then again, some of these authors might be beyond your comprehension at this point. You lied about your age on your profile, so i can't be sure either way.
And btw, I don't care if your religous and you think this is hurtful, this somewhat politics, and its just my opinion
Opinions are good, you just need more information to back them up. Also, you shouldn't post ridiculous stories like the malaysia one.
You said religion was bad, then proceeded to list a number of reasons why the people who worship the religion are bad.
Dude, seriously? All religions are designed to be good for humanity. Heck, all political, economic, moral, and social systems are set up to be the same. The only problem is when humanity gets ahold of it. Then it's just no good.
We just need better people leading the religion. Better people leading = better people following = better results from the religion. Too many people are being brainwashed by the likes of Osama Bin Laden so that he can use them for his own gains and purposes. We need someone like John Paul II leading all major religions of the world.
I haven't done much research on Islam, but as a Christian, I know for a fact that the section of your post about Christianity was all complete Anti-Christian rhetoric. And I don't doubt that about your section on Islam either. So anyways, if you even bothered to research the BASICS of Christianity, you would know that Jesus always preached peace and love.
"For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him."
John 3:17.
If God was such a 'heartless fiend', then why would he send his only son (who is actually part of himself, LOL) to Earth, just so you can have salvation? Though I respect your opinion on Jesus, who are you to discount my religion and be so sure that Jesus is just a legend? It's the Atheists like you that make me sick to be around.

John 3:17.
Jesus preaching peace and love:
Mat 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
\Mat 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Mat 10:36 And a man's foes [shall be] they of his own household.
Mat 10:37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
Mat 10:38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
you made me do it. lol
A world without religion .
Sounds like a piece of heaven to me.
Those who have only the religious opinions of others in their head & worship them. Have no room for their own thoughts & no room to contemplate anyone elses ideas either-More

Yes, this is said in the Bible, but I see this not as preaching barbaric behavior, but as Jesus speaking of the consequences of him trying to preaching the truth to the men of the world.
\Mat 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Same as previous, like a Mother being against her daughter for being Christian, or vice versa.
Mat 10:36 And a man's foes [shall be] they of his own household.
Same as before.
Mat 10:37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
Simple, he is preaching that he is the only way to Heaven, and that the person who denies him for people lesser to him are not worthy of him.
Mat 10:38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
Those who don't take the burdeon of following him through life, and taking criticism from those who reject him, aren't worthy of Heaven.
When man follows Jesus the Messiah, man will be rejected.

I love it when people take things totally out of context. I mean, it's seriously funny. Creates a bunch of confusion amongst people and allows people who have no real argument to win.
You have no idea how many times I've seen people take that quote and use it against Christians. Of course, any good theologian has read the passages directly BEFORE that.
Yay. Understanding.

I have a plethora of friends who take it out of context. I'm just glad my father, the money hungry pastor according to the OP, is there to explain things and suggest certain verses to me.
You guys are insane. The passage is about him sending the apostles out to try and convert the world. He says that whoever doesn't convert will go to hell. That's not peace and love.
This whole section of the bible is madness. He gives the apostles magical powers to cleanse people from "devils" and cure leprosy and raise people from the dead!!
I was merely responding that he doesn't preach all peace and love, he preaches follow me or else, which is how i interpret these passages. Also, it's bad enough that you christian psychos can't get the story straight between yourselves, don't you see the ridiculousness of arguing my interpretation isn't as good as yours?

Whoever doesn't accept Christ will go to hell. That's true, but it doesn't mean Jesus doesn't love every single person in the world. Even the people that rejected him and killed him.
This whole section of the bible is madness. He gives the apostles magical powers to cleanse people from "devils" and cure leprosy and raise people from the dead!!
When did Jesus give people magical powers? Anyone who purges demons from somebody with the word of God has "magical powers" then? And I'm pretty sure Jesus is the only person who ever raised someone from the dead.

That's how you interperet the passages, but not me. Don't call me a psycho because I have a different opinion than you, elitist. And Jesus did preach peace and love, he also dared to preach the dark side of his visiting of the world, and what preaching the truth would bring. What also makes this funny is that you're making a clear statement that Christians are the only people who say that if you don't follow the religion, you go to hell. That's in just about every religion. Just because I see things differently, (which is the way the bible actually intended for the verses to be interpereted) you have to reject me. Which brings me to another verse,
"If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.
John 15:18".
And by the way, your last statement was hypocritical.

I looked it up, and it says "raise the dead", though I'm pretty sure that hasn't been performed by anyone other than Jesus himself by any of his apostles. Though it may say "raise the dead", I'm sure it hasn't been performed by any apostles in the bible.

King James version:
Mat 10:1 And when he had called unto [him] his twelve disciples, he gave them power [against] unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.
Mat 10:2 Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James [the son] of Zebedee, and John his brother;
Mat 10:3 Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James [the son] of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus;
Mat 10:4 Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.
Mat 10:5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into [any] city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
Mat 10:6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Mat 10:7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Mat 10:8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
Or do you have a different version of the bible?
Also this is my last bible quote, you see what you want to see. In 10:1 jesus gives the apostles magic powers, in 10:8 he explains what they can do with them.
At 6/12/07 12:47 AM, EvilEgg wrote: He's insane? ok to begin with that then wtf didn't jesus kill all the jews when he was ressurected?
Umm, because it never happened.
Thats conversion..... i just looked there is no magic they are just given the power i interpret that as the willpower not magic.
See my above post which has a king james quote detailing their magical powers.
And you KNOW he doesn't exist? Where does the soul go when the body ceases to function? Apparently yours will not go anywhere..... in other words an incomplete death. I wonder will ours go..... no one will no for sure ,but it sure as hell will go somewhere.
Prove there's a soul and i'll believe there is. Until then, i'll stick to being logical and assume that when you cease to exist, you cease to exist.
Also, tell me where i can find more information in the bible about this "incomplete death" that you speak of. As far as i know, christians have condemned me to eternal hellfire lol

I have been reading the New International Version (NIV) of the bible. And though I don't agree that only the apostles have these "magic powers", I do believe that anyone with the will and the faith to cast out devils and whatnot can do it. I personally don't think that an apostle ever raise the dead (I may be wrong, I don't remember that much of the bible yet), but I will say this:
It never says in Christianity to kill homosexuals, or a "non-believer", it does however explain how it is a sin to be homosexual, and to not believe in Christ. I don't have anything against the people mentioned, but I do not believe it is right. Criticize me as you will for believing in my religion, but I won't care, and I won't criticize you for being an Atheist.

My God... it's true!

I never condemned you, if you really understood anything in the Bible you would know only God can pass judgement to people.
any religion that incenerates innocent teenage girls and hangs harmless homosexuals. While giving a FREE pass to sex slavery, and drug lords, right under their noses, is evil and a world without religion is good.

All-in-all religion is goodjust to show that not all people live by the same standard. Life would be very boring it we all did.

That sentence started the death of muslims and any other religon that started this mess.
Wow. That is NOT the one main rule of Christianity. It's "treat others as you yourself would wish to be treated."
You're thinking of the Crusades and the "White Man's Burden," which just used religion as an excuse for political and economic greed.
Muslims: There are only a few million of them in this world
HAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHHAAHHA!!! You do realize that Islam is the second biggest religion on Earth, right?
they are always getting killed in the eastern countrys and even some in the western country's like south america. They get killed because they don't beleive in the other religon's culter.
I'm fairly certain that in the Middle East, they're the ones doing the killing.
Its one of the strangest ones to, women HAVE to cover up there skin.
No, you're just an ignorant fuckhead. The Qu'ran tells women to "dress modestly," which sexist radical Fundamentalist Muslims interpret as "covered from head-to-toe or get stoned to death."
It makes them look like weaklings. Muslim men enforce this relgious law with physical force.
Again, Radical Fundamentalist Muslim men.
A very believable story.
Well, thank you for not asserting your belief as fact, but your opinion is based on extremely faulty intelligence.
Christians: Christians are like heartless vampires who feed on praying.
No, Evangelical Christians are like heartless vampires who feed on praying.
One faithful christian prays for a 2 weeks straight(in minutes) every year, That isn't bad, but wtf?
I know! Feeling a connection to a higher power and your fellow man is unbelievably detremental to society!
The god that christians believe is eather a greedy bastered, or a heartless fiend, because as quoted in the bible, as I said from the top, "You must beleive in me every moment you live or you will go to hell."
Right, I'm sure that it says that in those exact words. No. not at all. The reason why New Testament God is all fire and brimstone and damnation is because the medieval church used Christianity to control people. That's not what Jesus preached, at all (especially considering Jesus was Jewish, but that's a different story for a different argument).
Priests, who read the bible everyday, say that as long as your good you wont go to hell...so not believing god it bad?
I think saying that if you're good, good things will happen to you isn't that bad a thing to preach.
that is just plain silly. If some christian gets a thought that god isnt real for one second...he will go to hell.
Again, you're using the teachings of the most extremist sects of a religion and pretending that that's what the entire religion believes.
So the bible is eather faulty...written by people who wanted power and money badly(priests)
Or written by people who wanted to give people a good moral basis for life and interpreted by people who wanted power and money badly.
or the reson to live is to go to hell and burn forever.
No. The constant threat of eternal damnation is a tool of the medieval church to control people, not an actual tenet of Christianity.
Hell...if god loves everyone in the word so much (quoted by the bible) why would he put you in hell for not believing in christianity or just stealing candy from a baby?
You'd steal candy from a baby?
another loop hole from the bible. If god written the bible and past it on his faithful "servents" (quoted from bible) he would not want loop holes in his bible. So its man made and its faulty.
Of course the Bible is man-made, you dumb fuck. No one is denying that. It's only faulty when people stop using it as a book of stories used for moral guidance and start interpreting it literally.
The "old" bible said that if you see a jew, you should go to the jew and kill him/her. "Even if it's a child or a baby" (quoted from the "old" bible)
Ha! Show me exactly where the Bible says this. Oh wait, you can't.
Now it has somehow been "changed" by man...god could care less, he wouldn't let man change his bible...so if man changed it, everyone in this earth will go to hell no matter what if christianity was real.(fact/opinon)
Opinion/opinion, and a stupid one at that.
Jesus is a legend, not a opinon or a fact, a legend.
Actually, there's a fairly large amount of evidence to suggest that Jesus was a real person.
The bible says its a fact, but men *think* there was a virgin mary, and a baby jesus. Then bible just enforces it, I don't even need to go to details, its a waste of time.
Um...okay, that's just a part of Christian theology. Why can't you just let them believe what they want?
Now, there is a good side and a bad side if there was no christianity. The good side is that billions of people aren't mentally weak anymore, and tecnology would be better then japan's itself.(most christians live in America) (fact/opinion/joke)
No normal Christian is mentally weak. You're just mentally retarded.
The bad side is that most athiests are agressive when it comes to religon, not all, but most. So there would be wars against all countrys, and we do have nuke deposits that weren't destroyed after the Cold War. USA would nuke every country in the world. (opinion)
So basically, your entire argument is pointless because there would still be massive world conflict even without religion.
I will do more research on buddism, and athiests.
I won't hold my breath.
Now, religous people who pray are weak minded(fact) because they beleive in a super natural being that could change there lifes forever, it makes them beg, ask, cry, etc to them all the time when they pray.
Now I'm pissed off. This is the biggest fucking bullshit I have ever seen. Look at you, trying to discount all religion and call people who have faith and believe in something beyond "life's a bitch, then you die" "weak minded." How the fuck dare you?
The only super natural being that science can prove is nature. Nature takes its own course and it listens to no ones crys.
You do realize that science and religion CAN co-exist, right? Oh wait, no you don't, you're a dumb fuck.
So the moral of this thread is; if there was no religon in this world, 72% of yearly deaths would drop severly. And there would be less wars in the future.
You have to stop pulling "facts" out of your ass. And there would be just as much war, but for different causes.
Everything you've said is ignorant and blatantly wrong. Religion, when done right, can be a great, inspiring thing. You're just taking the most radical fringe sects of Islam and Christianity and saying that that's the basic belief of the entire religion. Which is bullshit.
Have fun drifting through life without any meaning, fucktard.
