Granted, my stuff probably sucks compared to everyone else's but I used Guitar & Bass, on one of my tracks... and midi controller keyboard on another - altho' that probably doesn't count as a real instrument per se.

i play my piano solos thru a 88 weighted key player piano that records me as midi file and outputted as GPO samples..

I don't have a microphone or any other computer recording device, my recordings would suck anyways, digital is so much easier in my opinion.

I understand where you're coming from. I used some drum samples and strung them together to get my beat. But as for my guitar, it's all me and thats the way I like it. Personally, I would feel kind of cheap if i just put some guitar notes together and left it at that because I know I can play guitar.

overall i think it's neat. good beat. string break is cool. bum bum bum bum bum. i felt like there was too much repetition with that beginning part, the string repeat of it in the beginning part seems a bit much -- i think if it went straight into the next bit with the bass it would flow better.

Hey to you, well, I know I resubmitted mine, and I spoke to Rucklo about this and he agreed and removed the older version from the thread until I'll come up with a newer one, so I did, so why am I not on the list? I'm aware of the rules and know that no Previews allowed in the contest, and I didn't want to "Show-off" my older version of the entry.
and if it's still not applied or convincing enough to be on the list and be in the contest, then I can still wait for the next contest and learn from the mistake I'v done... and will use more of the long deadline making the next one.

this is correct, i deleted the post assuming the new entry would end up in the new list. this error should be corrected, or i'll have to do something terrible horrible to DS555 >:(
