---> *** IMPORTANT *** <---

If you are using samples of any kind
Make absolutely certain that you have the right to legally use them in commercial works.

This may be an issue later on in the contest - Any submission that smells of uncleared samples will be flushed away and the person who submitted the track will be disqualified from this MAC and possibly from future MACs as well.

Remember - Your submissions are for consideration by The Behemoth for potential use in a commercial release. You MUST have a proper license for any samples that are used.

CHECK YOUR EULAs !!! Not all of them are equal - You are required to have legally purchased samples and you must also have been granted a royalty free for commercial use license agreement.

If you have downloaded any samples that from any third party site (not from the original author) then delete them before you even start on your submission(s) so that there is no question of potential rights infringement.

Keep in mind that your submissions must also be created in-full on legally licensed software.

If you didn't pay for it, then you cannot legally use it.

If you're not 100% certain, then don't. We will all err on the side of caution on these issues.

I am not licensed to practice law in any state. I am not in any way legally affiliated with or claiming to represent NewGrounds,The Behemoth or any other person, business or entity. Standard long-distance rates will always apply. Financing subject to credit approval. In the case of malfunction, user assumes all liability for damages and costs incurred both real and imagined.

I'm allowed to enter more than one, right? Here's my first submission:

Epic Orchestra 2

This was originally commissioned by reFX . They wanted a song to demonstrate the classical music capabilities of their Nexus plugin. It's a remix of "Epic Orchestra ", my first classical piece. I'm not sure if it's suited for battle scenes, but it might be nice for those softer moments...if they exist. lol

By the way, I had to seriously degrade the quality in order to get it under the 4 MB limit. You can find a 192 kbs version right here.
I renamed it to "Genesis", by the way. Could a nice administrator change the Newgrounds title accordingly? :-)

Forgot to mention - it's almost 6 minutes long. But if you guys like what you hear, I could make a shorter version.

I hope you don't include me in that category.

I get to compete with some of the best NG has to offer,

Yeah, you're definitely not referring to me as being part of that category :P

and that good sir, is a rare occurance.

Guys i'm getting a vibe you all think I think you all suck or something.

This is not true. But lets be honest. WinterWind and DavidOrr, are borderline professionals. And i'm not going to try and hide that. Why should I? It's what keeps my brain burning to find the magical melody that will defeat everybody >:}

2 questions...
What about demos of programs?

And if a song does make it from newgrounds then does the artist get paid? Seeing as it will be on a game released for commercial sales, rather than the content submitted on NG, which is not commercially sold.

Anyways, I'm working on a killer track at the moment, and it's epic!

Cheers

Well, that's your assumption only. A warning have been shouted out by LJCoffee, and he really shouldn't have to do it, so just see that as a friendly reminder!

Oh btw...just an unfriendly reminder....NO SNEAK PEAKS ETC.!!!!

I state this for the LAST TIME now! (Don't you people read some things in here!?)

If you submit a tune, submit the FULL and FINISHED version. I'm a little pissed off right now because some guys posted stuff in here...but it's...

1. not for teh CC contest (lol) or
2. over the length

If you think I go through every post with a LINK on it then you're wrong...Don't bug around later if your entry is not on the list. I might just ignore some submitters if they don't go along with the rules...It's not a big deal at all...

Again, take this contest serious and READ THE GOD DAMN RULES ALREADY!!!!

i don't want people to get cold feet or freaked out by the orchestral talk. for example, a song tom selected that grabbed a lot of people's attention at IGF had no orchestral in it: http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/view.php?id=4 89978&sub=57239

it was received really well, and it fit well with any of the regular levels.

so don't freak out -- you do not have to do orchestra. at least in my book..

Well... I thought I was done and finished with my track, but I'm thinking of tweaking it and resubmitting it. If that's the case then I'll just post my new spruced up version on the audio portal and post it here after I'm sure... sorry for the premature submission. I might do the some with other tracks too if I have more for this comp.

Also, can I get a response to whether or not my submission is ok being written on FL demo?
Cheers.

Jesus christ, if you put a decent amount of effort to it and it does not sound like it's made by a 2 year old that's it. You don't suck either so you shouldn't worry about it

Hell, I've only really been working with digital music for about 6 months, but I'm not gonna turn an opportunity like this down!

I notice that a lot of people here use electronica/techno stuff to make their entries. Would it be alright if I used my guitar? I've got a killer idea that i'm working on. Also my submission might sound a little sketchy due to my ghetto recording setup. I couldn't afford anything high brow so I bought a tape recorder and a device that allows me to transfer the audio into different formants like mp3 or .wav. Pretty weird huh? It also came with a pretty versitile recording program that I don't really have the hang of yet. It's called Nero
