I found this poll rather interesting. Much like the voting in the Eurovision Song contest, political bias is accountable to a lot of the trends contained within, but I found some of the findings very interesting.

Id reccomend American users have a wee read at this, it could be a bit of an eye opener as it is clear from the stats that Americans think America has the worlds interests at heart. Whereas the bulk of the other countries seem to disagree.

I actually think America did okay in those polls. The ones with the most to fault about us lso tended to be the ones that have the most to lose if democracy and capitalism flourishes in their parts of the world.

I found great irony in the poll that said most french think we're the arrogant ones. Maybe they should look in the mirror and lose that snooty, rude attitude of theirs before they talk about ours.

What surprised me even more, though, is the dislike for American websites. American websites are less liked than American movies and American tv shows, both of which suck for a large part (I watch Conan O'Brien and though!). There are millions of American websites, I'm sure there is something for everyone. Can't really lump them together and say you dislike them all :/

But the thing is, those results stem from the fact that the people of those countries are misinformed. In almost all those aspects, the US and their countries have identical policies, or the US does more of what is considered good thing. They are just too ignorant of the facts to be aware of it.

It's not really an accurate reflection of what the US does wrong or well, it's just a reflection of the fact that people are morons, they are irrationally biased for multiple reasons, not least of which their jealousy. If any other country was in the position of power and dominance that the US is in, people of other nations would still be quick to judge that country unfairly as well.

For instance, the bit about aids and poverty. The US provides WAY, WAY more donations and takes a much more active role in Africa and other impoverished regions of the world. But they don't know that, because their media conveniently leaves facts out like that which would compromise the anti-Americanism that is vital to their silly, hypocritical, scapegoating societies.

Um actually American companies exploit cheaper labor from Canadians. American defense contractors hire Canadians in order to physically assemble electrical components. The components are still researched, developed, designed, and funded by American companies. Just because a few Canadians screw them together doesn't mean anything.

Hey, did you know that the Czech Republic is the biggest source for the glass wine bottles the French use for their world-class wine? Does this mean that the Czechs are NEEDED by the french to make wine? Even though the French design the bottles, and contribute to 99% of the rest of the entire process of wine making?
