Critiques for this WiP plz?

Here's yet another digital painting just conceptualizing another feature of a flash series I'll eventually and hopefully be pushing out.

I've been coloring this thing in photoshop on and off and i'm getting a little tired so I was wondering what you guys think of it.

If I had a specific direction in mind...
It would be to convey the adrenaline frought sadistic joy of an oncoming victory. (Or 300... I really enjoyed the cinematography in that film)

Anyhow... I guess i'm concerned mainly with tonalities at the moment. I dont even know where to start on the details of the figures in the foreground or the background. (in the bg I would imagine small highlights or simply nothing just for the sake of maintaining a dusty feel)

I dont want to make things... too busy.

I'm trying to leave that texture on certain areas of his armor, like the breastplate. It certiantly doesn't need to be everywhere...

You shouldn't even suggest that something is stolen unless you have some evidence that it is it is. Do a little research if you think something may be stolen, odds are you can find it if it is, but don't post and say you think it is without some proof.

I would stick with warm colours, i wouldnt stray too far from using yellows golds oranges browns etc

I would also add a more detailed cloud background, maybe adding some light bloom effects.

Or I would think about doing it quite dark and stormy with fire dotted around, and get some nice lighting effects on the character.
