Why the hell else do you think Bush would be having permanent American bases set up in Iraq, right next door?
Of course they intend to invade Iran. It's just a question of when, and how they justtify it. Liberation for the Iranian people, I suspect. Or maybe payback for their terrorist attack.

You don't like the answers you're getting, that people believe Bush plans to invade Iran for oil? Well then, maybe I'll change my opinion on him just for you.
"Oh, hell no, when he invaded Iraq Bush got all the war out of his system, and he's learnt his lesson about keeping his nose the hell out of other countries' business, he's not gonna do it again."
Is that what you wanted to hear?
Or maybe, you conservative waste of space, you wanted me to say:
"Bush is God's messenger, whether he invades Iran or not, he's doing the right thing!"

I would say its quite likely, although it would be a shame... Iran is the site of many fascinating historical sites from the persians that would be damaged in the event of warfare

ultrabitch you little dumbshit, if we really needed oil that badly, we'd invade Saudi Arabia. The real reason there is possible conflict between us and Iran is because they fund terrorist groups like the insurgents in Iraq and the Hezbollah.

Except that Saudi Arabia would fucking KICK the USA's ass, especially playing on home turf.
Think about how much money oil makes for the USA. Billions of dollars a day. It's well worth starting a war over.

Well, the USA doesn't want to fight somebody who can fight back.
Also, the USA has this tendency of wanting to look like they are the good guys in any confrontation. Hell, in WW1 even Germany tried to look like they were the good guys by saying they were invaded first. Something about dressing their dead soldiers in enemy uniforms and planting them.
Or was it Austria that did that?
Either way, nobody picks a war with somebody they think will beat them.

We're invading because we don't like them. We don't like their way of life, we don't like their religion and we don't like their leaders. The neo-cons have always defined America by having an enemy to fight, first the Russians now the arabs. Seriously, when was the last time that Americans were not under the impressions someone was very, very close to killing them and their family?
Apart from when the democrats have been in, of course.

Compared to how much we've spent on the war in Iraq? I don't think so. I sincerely doubt it's economically viable to spend half a trillion dollars and sacrficie thousands of lives in order to get a couple billion in oil revenues.
We don't do anything in Iran until we absolutely have too, which is kind of sad when you consider that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has pretty much said he'll nuke Israel if he get's the chance...

If they were going to start a draft, they would have done it by now.
President Bush won't enact it because he wants to at least salvage some semblance of character for the Republican Party when they run in 2008, and nobody in the democratically controlled house/senate OR any of the politicians running for the Democratic nominee are going to do try suggesting it for the same reasons...
Enacting the draft after having an all volunteer army for the past 30 some odd years would be political suicide for the politician enacting it, especially with the public opinion polls being the way they are with regards to the war.

Question: What is one thing that differs between Israel and Iraq?
Answer: Iraq (which was once supplied with said weapons by America under a CONSERVATIVE president BTW) is now basically defunct while Israel (which has been and is still supplied and supported by America by both LIBERAL and CONSERVATIVE presidents) is still very much alive and is still commiting such acts.

It may have not been considered five-star accomodation, but the hostage treatment of Iran was not nearly as bad as compared to the prisoners and refugees in Israel today.
Also answer this if you can:
Why did Israel feel the need to launch a surprise attack and destroy the USS Liberty - a reconnaissance ship that had no way of defending itself?
Question: what country elimenated 2 to 5 million of their own people to show what they can do

The same was probably said to Rachel Corrie - who protested against the foul treatment of Palestinian refugees. She could have just cut and run, but she stayed her course and ended up being deliberately trampled multiple times by and Israeli owned and operated bulldozer.

A country having oil, and the fear of that the reason for going to war is for that oil is no reason to ignore a country as a threat, because you are afraid that that nation, and the individuals in your own country who have pity for them will use that resource as a reverse skapegoat for going to war.
If you adhere to this, you are weak, and people who hate you will take advantage of that weakness and attack you with the physical, and defend themselfs from you with diplomacy combined with your hesitation to take action because you are too soft. This is the "Great Evil law" that makes it more difficult to avoid conflict with an ambitious enemy, if you fight you faught a war people are killed, if you refuse to fight you're nation is destroyed and your culture essentially destroyed.

At the poster above me
i'm not going to argue with you that israelis are out of control, it's imminent that any website expressing a political point is going to have a bias, and pictures can be usefull in expressing a bias better than words.
What many consider israel is doing is not at all unusual, if your angry at an aspect of a nation you dont attack the aspect, you attack the peasants, here's a nice example:
- England becomes prodestant, Ireland is catholic, english dont like the catholics because of the catholic church's corruption with the payment of fee's to releive of sins, to express this anger they attack the pope and the catholic church.... LOL no they dont, they kill catholic peasants, because it's easier, and more hurtfull.
The result?
Human's become sheilds for the true human villans, and people get angry at one another.
On a moving train there are no centrists, only radicals and reactionaries.
