Honeymoon Art Contest Winners

Big thanks to Andy Signore for mentioning Newgrounds in his acceptance speech on the MTV Movie Awards! I think only US viewers can access that video clip, but it's worth a look.

Also, thank you Jeff and Stamper for the wonderful art contest while I was away on my honeymoon!

I absolutely HATE having to pick winners, partly because I don't know how to rank things. If I rank them based purely on how much they make me laugh, all the winners would be obscene sketchings and all the good artists would be totally discouraged. I tried to walk a line between both. :)

1st - $150 + T-Shirt + Stickers
Zekey wins for being both clever and well drawn.

2nd - $100 + T-Shirt + Stickers
Nathaniel Milburn is worthy of framing.

3rd - $75 + T-Shirt + Stickers
Puppet-Lord went from being a runner up to winning third place, purely based on how funny I find this picture.

4th - $50 + T-Shirt + Stickers
jenova-absolute - Wins for April Showers, but I also love the look on my face in scat job. Got bumped up the rankings as a result of cumulative lols.

5th - $25 + T-Shirt + Stickers
darthnebula - Clever Indiana Jones / Flash Portal crossover with a Nazi Stamper and a lot of heart.

Runner-Ups (t-shirt and stickers):

6. AdamAdam - Also cute. Should have been in the top five, if I wasn't so bad at ranking these.

7. Mogly sums up how most artists approached the contest. I wouldn't have it any other way.

8. MNS-dazi scored points for being so lovey-dovey.

9. Kevinthink - Well drawn, cute joke.

10. ArthurGhostly - I just love how he captured our excitement.

Your t-shirt preference. You can pick anything from the store but don't pick Pico, because I am totally behind schedule with getting that done and we should just remove it from the store for now. Also be sure to check that we have your size in stock (we are running out of the Tankmen shirts). You can also request a Newgrounds tank logo shirt in DARK BLUE, which isn't listed in the store at the moment.

In more twisted art news, Jeff (aka JohnnyUtah) recently bought Forza Motorsport 2 for the Xbox 360, which includes a rudimentary drawing system for creating car logos. Using nothing but circles and rectangles, Jeff managed to painstakingly recreate the Newgrounds tank logo and AngryFaic! It's like a disease, he stays up all night doing it. Last night he made the Street Fighter logo.
