I am the original author of this post...Bitterness...me, shit. Like I said, I wouldn't care if a nuke took out all of earth. But back on topic, I don't think recycling really helps out the environment all that much. There is so much other pollution going on all over the planet. It's gonna die anyways. Kill the suffering, euthanize it, put it out of it's misery.

who are you to say it is misery?? thats why i said you were bitter... and wanted a quicker ending, (i ment no offensive offcourse.) As the point of my post was to persue you to see that it is not a quick end coming that we should help ease and speed the procces, insteed let a little light of love in, apprciate the earth through recycling, and then it wont be so dysmal, it wont be such a horrid place that we should make quicker to end, as you see it right now. Im seeing it more beautiful because im helping to live with it harmonously. And dont try replying back with all the ways i may be a hypocrite (in some sense that i am not for the earth) or something standard like that... stop being so synical. Love, and all of a sudden you will see it coming right back at you.

hehehe yaaaaaayyy i think for a new public service campaign for recycling we should do stuff like
"if you dont recycle, you are an asshole" or have a video of some guy not recycling and then hot chicks making fun of him. nothing like pure shallowness to get the american people to do your bidding....

Why does everyone always ignore my theories on why recycling doesnt help the earth nearly as much as everyone thinks it does? Most of the toxins released by the world are industrial, and have no recyclable value. Meanwhile recyclables dont become any less recyclable 50 years after they are discarded than the day they were discarded. I would rather have a large scale garbage mine in 100 years than a bunch of wasteful tiny recycling stations now. Not to mention my before mentioned concept of why ecological stress is healthy for the evolution of life.
But I just hate my planet and am bitter, right? I disagree with the masses, so that must make me wrong. Please, someone give me some logical reasons why my plans are flawed instead of accusations.

O.k....I have come to an important conclusion! I do believe in recycling! There is one stipulation though. I believe in recycling human bodies, not garbage. You recycling your cans makes no difference to the landfills piling up to the heavens. This place is doomed. Recycle the human body!

Anybody ever, like, put cigarette butts in cans to try and make your basket weigh more? I did. Hee hee.
Anyway- I'm for recycling. Less trash is a good thing, and you usually get paid to do it!

Here's an idea recycling doesn't really help the planet it helps humans. We lack te power to wipe out life on earth, but we saure have the power to annhilate ourselves. Green Inc. and all of it's various subsidiaries make money off of the idea we can destroy life when in fact all we can do is wipe out ourselves.

Have you not read Stupid White Men? Most recycling companies don't even recycle the stuff, just dump it in landfill.

Reuse is way better than recyceling. But with the capitalism, most products is made so shitty that they lasts a couple of years, then you have to get a new one. You have to go in the extreme price-classes to get quality. So we are making a big trap for ourself, with the use-and-throw-away mentallity.
Before, the mediocre product was quality. I have about 7 60 years old watches at home, and only one is broken! They was normal watches, not expensive. Show me a regular watch today that will last so long. They were all used, btw.

It all comes down to the question of how much money can be made by making people feel guilty? As George Carlin said: "Humans are just a phase. Earth wanted plastic, and needed humans to get it. Now it has the plastic, and can phase out the human beings."

i agree, if some of you think the earth is dying, you could be wrong. In my eyes, the wind blows, the trees reproduce, the tide changes, its alive, but if some of you think were saving it...your ALSO wrong, were doing nothing by either, nor saving or damaging the risks of nature, it has its own paths, were are merely builders, to feed the earth. the only way we kill the earth, is to stop what were doing, so.....lets just carry on with our lives and forget. Keep recycling, it wont do anything, keep polluting, it wont do anything..... thanx!

I don't think that recycling stuff helps earth at all. The earth is not gonna die if we nuke it or recycling it. The toxic air will probably kill many animals , plants and humans but earth will not die. whatever happens to earth, something will evolve and live. Something killed the dinosaurs and something lived.
I think that recycling is not really saving planet earth, It is just a desparate attempt to save our asses from landfillls.
