Just a question, but are you using any Intercoolers, if yes, that's probably the problem.
If not, your 360 is fucked.

Yeah, it's loud. But I don't mind seeing as my TV is usually at a very high volume. :/

My one isn't too bad. It's got a moderate whirring sound, louder than any other console I've played, but nothing unbearable.

Invest in headphones if it bugs ya. Noise cancelling ones if you have the scratch.

mine sounds just like my pc. sometimes it suddenly goes silent- then it fucks up. Mine was one of the first batch you see. you know, the exploding ones.

The fan projects the sound more so the acoustic in the room makes it louder.

I don't want one cause the choice of games sucks. I don't like shooters or racing games, and that's 99% of what XBox does.

nah, i have heard of this, but mines a little noisy, nothing to write home about, if u take out the fan ur fucked, that will fry it, search gaming sites, someone will know what to do.

Nothings wrong with your xbox, mine does the same thing. It's really only noticeable when you have the volume on the t.v low.
