[WillPostForFood]

This should be my four thousandth post. And what a epic four thousand posts this has been. Ive seen many things. Many trials and tribulations across the boards that are my addiction.

It seems like just yesterday everyone was obsessed with Dads Home and the Fallen Angel teaser. The more simple days of the portal. When flash was not a consistent battle to look like a Japanese knockoff with OMGINSANE GRAPHXXX. Though those flashes still existed, they were tastefully released. Plus the overall quality of humor and story was much greater.

The flash games were much more dumbed down. Nothing crazy and high tech such as the games of today. A multiplayer game on the portal was a crazy idea that was rarely presented, and never executed. To make a game at all you had to be something else. Not the average flash joe.

The BBS was a slightly unheard of part of the site. It was neatly tucked away. The forum button was not the large orange button of today, but a simple secondary text link. It was at that time a much more close nit internet community. A great one at that.

These were the pre /b/ days. When people actually had to think when it came to humor. Not just visit 4chan and copy and paste the fad lines. But these were also the days when things were accepted if they were funny. The mods simply were not Nazis out to destroy all things under 3 paragraphs.

The BBS was not a race for popularity. It was a community. Oh the days of goodness.

4000 posts. Proof that I have lacked a life for a long time.

I just started using the BBS today and I already wish that I could've started back in the times you talk about. Now everyone's just a bunch of assholes. : \ Grats on 4000 posts btw. :D

You are right, there is a lot of competing in the bbs. Everyone is posting small amounts of stuff and trying really hard to spam up the forums and get posts up. It used to be different, not everyone was obssessed with the bbs and getting higher ranks. Not everyone wanted there posts in the thousands. As well as signatures and 4chan stuff. 4chan really messed up this site, right after we got out of that crappy chuck norris fad, they came and gave us these saying that didn't mean much of anything. But for some reason every ng bbs user knows every on of them. From the signature with the, internet no way ya way shur shur m shur, and lazar as well as the raid. Everyone had a raid sig, a lot less people do now, but it still not the same.
