I am currently working on a flash movie. I finished a good seven seconds yesterday, and I was making great progress. Just today, when I'm opening it back up to work on it again, it's taking a long time to load, around 20 seconds or so. I made a backup and saved and compacted it, but the file size is still well over 7 MB. I want to be able to open and work on my flash without having to wait a minute or four. Does anyone know how to compress it even more?

Really? Ah, dammit. I guess I'll have to deal with it then. Thanks.

Better than nout.
If you'd have read what he said completely, you'd know he already stated that he has compacted it.

Just so you guys know, I don't have any traced bitmaps or music whatsoever, though I do plan on putting in sound effects and music soon. The flash movie's window is average, too(550x400). How about this...
I'll find a way to upload what I have done so far. I just don't understand how it would take up 7MB already! My only guess is that I have not used any symbols except for the Newgrounds Preloader to not make the movie start so suddenly. And if I compiled a clip of animation into a movie clip symbol, that would shave off some Megabytes. I think that's why. I doubt it though.
Anyway, I'm currently uploading it on Mediafire. I hope the link posted here works.

Upload it to some place where it can be streamed, not those download sites.
Like denvish or imageshack .

Sorry for the double post.
I see what you've done, you haven't even exported it as a .swf yet. Once you do it will be a few hundred kilobytes.
