Having watched a few movies, heard about how we will become further industrialised and urban in the future, and having watched and a documentary about how gardens are being put on top of skyscrapers to preserve the wildlife whilst still maintaining economic growth, I have come to a conclusion.

Soon enough there are going to be so many buildings that there will be little to no habitable greenland outside. Since there is easily enough land in the world to fit all the people, there will eventually be enough housing for everyone. This is communism. Discuss.

No, taht si not commuism, an no, communism is not an eventuality. It will never happen because it can never work because it is an idealogically driven idea, not a real economic system. It simply can't run because it isn't a real plan, so it will never come to be.

No, because that housing wouldn't be FREE, plus you're missing just about every single other condition of communism.

Also, there's plenty of wildlife preservation going on, even more once we finally get off our asses about conservation, so I seriously doubt there'll be no nature but skyskcraper-gardens anytime soon.

And communism is a completely flawed, unrealistic system.

Communism is also based on communal farming to provide food for people. Urbanization would be not good for that.

Someday, you're gonna grow up and you're gonna want shit that not everyone else has. Like a hot car, or a nice house, or a well-paying job, or a sexy girlfriend.

And then you're gonna realize that communism is not the eventual fate, because everyone wants the same thing as you, and there's not enough of it. Ergo, continual competition, and that means capitalism.

Until we make replicators that create everything we could ever want, and everyone gets a nice house, and everyone can get a hot car, and they start cloning supermodels, communism will never work. And even then it's a maybe, because people always want more.
