I think around 60% are overweight to obese.

Problem though is that they also count "overweight" on more muscular people. They also do this weight by age thing.

I'm 17 and weigh 185 pounds. They said I was overweight. Only problem though is that i'm 6 foot 4.

I don't think it is all the bad down there. The main problem there is all the damn Hispanics that don't know English. It is ridiculous. You HAVE to know Spanish in order to get a job. Yup America's got fat people. I used to be really obease. I was 180 and I'm only 5"4'. Now I'm 140 and still 5"4'. But back to the topic on hand, yes many american's are over weight, we just do't know why.

Could be all that fast food we eat. :)

Spain is a very fat country, and I've heard Greece is. People just hate on America because it's well.. you know... dumb President, Iraq war, stealign other country's resources through false economic projections.

In General, yes, there are A LOT of fat people here. Fat as in 50 or more punds overweight, It also depends on the part of the country, for example when I was in Las Vegas, 2/3 of the people there were fat, and about 15% were so fucking fat I couldn't help but stare. One of the bitches I saw was so fat that she was in a motor scooter or whatever the fuck you call it, triple chin etc... No wonder they call Vegas "sin city" a lot of Gluttony going on....

Germany is actually one of the EU countries that has a higher overweight/obese rate than the US.

But of course you weren't aware of that, no Europeans are. They won't allow years of misguided anti-American humor composed of fat jokes to just go away when they realize their obesity problem is getting worse than America's.

Whenever I'm working at Universal, I see A LOT of obese Americans. You can usually tell who is from others countries because they're more fit. I would have to say a good 35-40% of the people I see are overweight.

That's because it's the South. Southerners tend to be a lot fatter due to their more sedentary lifestyle. Especially old, retired Floridians.

The worst part is, most people in the urban areas walk or ride bikes to where they need to go. That's kinda screwed up isn't it?

I went to Europe for 5 months, and on the plane ride back I almost threw up. The US has... Weight confusion issues... Skinny people don't think they're skinny enough, and fat people are usually really, really, really dumb, lazy, or insincere about losing weight. Most don't have any idea what they're doing, or think they can eat a whole cake as long as they drink Diet Coke. And then there's the issue with the skinny people who blame people who are even skinnier than them (Nicole Ritchie, for example) for setting a bad example, when no one even thinks she looks good. When it comes to weight, Americans really do have their heads up their asses, on both ends of the spectrum.
I have two jobs, at a grocery store, and at a TV station, so I experience both extremes first hand, and I DO know what I'm talking about here. (I'm a pretty normal 5'10", 155lbs combo, myself)
