Hi, I used to be a gold member a while ago, and I also made a few flashes that (haha) never made it on. I had to make a new name, which I like better anyway.
My question is, I was wondering since I lost my Flash mx program, if anyone could send it to me or point me in the direction of Downloading it, and not just the trail.
I am sorry if this is not in the correct place.

If you had it before, and it was legit. As in you actually paid for it. You can re-download it for free at the website, www.macromedia.com actually its www.adobe.com now.

Is there something that outlasts a trial. I am looking for something a little more permanent.

Depends on opinion. Most people will say the latest is the greatist, but there are benifits to having a lower version. MX is a workhorse, steady and reliable, MX 2004 introduces AS2, 8 has fancy filters and CS2 has AS3 and the filters are supposed to run faster.
Try to find what you want on-line at an auction site and save yourself a bundle.

Listen up, Adobe Flash (formerly known as Macromedia Flash) is the name of the program that can be used to make Flash SWF files, which are what you submit to the NG flash portal.
As time goes on, programs become outdated and therefore need to be updated/upgraded.
Flash MX was the name of the program used about 3 years ago (I still use it a lot due to it's quicker response times due to less CPU usage (although I also use newer versions)). Flash MX was the full name for Flash 6. A year after, Flash 7 was released, then Flash 8.
Now we have Flash 9 which came out recently, but it's full name is Flash CS3 (due to it's inclusion in the 3rd release of the Adobe Creative Suite collection).
So there you have it, you could purchase the new CS3 if you'd like.
