I spent so long fixing bugs and adding minor details, I haven't gotten to finishing it yet. But it's looking really good so far, what do you think? Please tell me about any confusion with the game, warn me of any bugs and give me tons of suggestions and feedback.
I know theres no sound/music yet, It's being added at the end.
Anyways if any body is interested in drawing your own guy to play with, then draw him up and email him to me in an FLA. Make sure his head, body and weapon are put in separate MC's or Graphics. Don't draw his legs or his arms, I've taken care of that.
Heres the dimensions for the body parts if your interested in drawing new ones to play with:
37 x 32 pixels for the head
33 X 44 pixels for the body
20 X 60 pixels for the weapon
Try not to stray to far away from the style I'm using; just simple graphics.

oh and btw you should try and speed up that sword movement so it looks more like a slash and less like just a sword movement.

It's pretty good but lacks a lot of balance in some ways. That first enemy is a pain in the ass because it seems impossible to pass his enormous wall of fire without getting his at least once. All you can really hope for is that he teleports somewhere far enough that you can hide from his fire and rebuild your health. Plus the hitboxes seem really unclear and I was never sure what was hurting me in that bug fight or whether it was even worth it to kill the bugs since one replaces them instantly. The sword animation could be much faster. It feels like there's an actual response time that you have to wait through. Those are my crits, but keep going, because it shows promise.

Nah, no credits, just for fun, so you can play your own guy in the game. And I'll message you when I submit it so you can play.

Hey thanks for the input, I'll make the sword faster. When you fight the worm, if you hit the falling rocks you get hurt. I'll change that so your invincible against rocks :P
Well with the first guy, yes it is hard to not get hurt with him. But you can always replenish your health right? So I think its a fair balance there.

It's really not that good. I don't really know why everyone else is saying it is, because it's pretty.. well, sure it's decent, but it's not good.
The controls for one, I for one hate pressing spacebar for anything, and on another note, my spacebar broke recently.
Another thing is the hitTesting is fairly detestable. I feel as though I won't be hit and I end up exploding or something.
Yeah its not good if he's planning to submit it as-is, I simply meant it's decent for a demo, assuming that things will be greatly improved in the future. In short, the concept is decent, nothing fantastic.

Heh, I finally killed it. The seahorse level is cool, I like the way each "level" has totally different dynamics... on foot, falling, and with seahorse mount. I think it's a pretty good game with rather humdrum graphics, I look forward to seeing more if it.

How can you judge a game based on if it uses the spacebar or not? Thats pretty dumb and its tough luck, cause' im not changing it for you :P
You will end up exploding? What, the seahorse part? You have to dodge the bombs if thats what your talking about. I thought by decorating the bombs with giant spikes and skulls would help make it obvious enough for even people like you to realize... you aren't suppose to hit them. And thanks for you comments.

Can I make a level suggestion?
Or an etxtra level or something. Maybe a coliseum where you fight until you die. Or if it's a story level, fight a lot of people then fight one huge boss.
