Well, the site in question actively encourages those in contention to stick links up, so a small text link in a news post is hardly going all out to promote ourselves.

It'll get there. All of us have learned not to give out any definite dates, because any delays cause disappointment. Some things crop up that we weren't expecting/couldn't have foreseen. The release of IE7 was one such thing that was completely out of our hands and brought a few headaches to the table, one of which I can think off hand was the seemingly inane decision to take away javascript prompts() (or, at the very least, have it default to a prompt in itself!)
Take it from me, we're all super eager to get everything up and running, but not at the expense of a) killing ourselves in order to do it and b) making mistakes as a result of rushing.
