Becasue it is for me :). Newgrounds is always so much better in summer. The BBS has hundreds of people on at all parts of the day and the 50 most recent is practically full to the brim.

Well, I am in the middle of my finals, so actually, no vacation for me yet. Luckily for me, the only final I have left is in my English course, which I won't need to do shit for, so until I get my grades back on the 15th of June I will be off. However if I fail, I will need to do another final to pass which is a week after that. So basically, I'm free unless I fail.
