Now note, the global temperature has risen 0.1 degrees Celsius in the past fifty years, if I'm not mistaken. The Kyoto Treaty is what liberals clamor for. Note the economic cost. If every major country followed the treaty (not including China, but that's a different issue), until 2050, the US alone will have spent fifty BILLION dollars, to lower the temperature 0.07 Celsius. Now THAT makes sense.

What makes sense is spending 300 billion dollars in Iraq, now there is a good use of money! I'm sure glad we came to our senses before some dumb tree hugging liberal tried to spend 1/6th of that money on something lame like protecting out children's future. What a fucking economic waste, and hey it's not like any property damage that results from climate change is going to cost anyone any money, the insurance companies and FEMA will handle that!
Oh and what about economic destruction from high gas prices? Nahhhhhh, that'll never happen, not as long as Adam J. Rice is around, that's for darn sure.

Tis better to sit in silence and be presumed a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt.

How do we know, however, that we are contributing to global warming. And don't give me this petty ass shit about greenhouse gases and Carbon Dioxide. A very small amount amount of hte atmosphere contains Carbon Dioxide. And frankly, if Bush and the Chinese want to get their panties in a wad about trying to spend money to solve the problem, I believe they are wasting their time. Whatever, dude.
I hate most new flash movies/games. My aura is evil.
Prepare to be blammed.

Granted the temperature of the planet has been shown to fluctuate between ice ages, but the same research has proven that humanity is speeding up the process.
Go look up other topics on the same [links handily provided in the post above you] and get a clue.

That "petty ass shit" is called reasoned debate. Its the point of the forum. Now hush.

I think spending 30 billion to cool the earth is the best use for the money.
If the tempurature increases by 1 degree farenheit at the equator, at the poles
the tempurature jumps by about 10 degrees. That sort of heating is going to
melt the poles, which will release a massinve amount of fresh water into the ocean.
It will lead to the flooding of the world; the fresh water will slow down the current
from the Gulf of Mexico carrying warmth to the north, resulting in the eventual
freezing of North America and Europe; many warm water fish, and and most sea
fish will become extinct from the fresh water entering the ocean.
I could go on but I think I expressed my point. The Kyoto Protocol will greatly help preserve
the world as we know it. It is a simple process to figure out the consequences of not acting
now.

Exactly! I mean, come on, FEMA is the most reliable agency in our government!

Yes, it's an awesome use of money to stop terrorists from plotting against us. Glad you could notice. And of course FEMA should get more money to mismanage! I love them stealing my tax dollars!

Less "stopping terrorists from plotting against us", more "desperately trying to clean up the massive mess we made".

I thought it was the war in Afgahnistan that was to stop the terrorists, and Iraq was about removing a terrible dictator.
It seems your reasoning has become so twisted its now up its own arse.

Right.... one at a time.
Worm:
What mess, mate? Iraq isn't as much of a mess as the Communist News Network wants to tell you.
Boltrig:
My logic isn't twisted, it's true. Terrorists = Insurgents, basically, as they run and scream "ALLAH! ALLAH!" And blow themselves up.

Dammit you beat me to it! :D
EVERYONE ELSE: This topic is about global warming (one of the THOUSANDS of them *pointed glare at author*), NOT the Iraq war. Get back to the subject.
