You gotta do something sweet, but out of the ordinary. Even better, surprise them with it. Like, at the end of a movie date, take her to dinner in McDonald's or something but right when she least expects it, take her outside and light a few candles and put on some romantic music. The girl would never expect it with such crappy food but the trick here is to make it look like that no matter how broke you are, you're still willing to make the girl feel special. Always works.

Depends on the person, what they meant to me, what their interests were. See it doesn't really matter how much thought that goes into it unless you actually think about what the other person would like. You would have to know alot about them really.. or at least a few basic facts.. like if they liked horses, ride up on a horse with a picknic basket and ride to a beech and ride along the shore and sit down with a blanket a bottle of wine.. then maybe go skinny dipping or something.. and if you were going to propose.. "find" a muscle or clam on the floor and give it to them let them open it and inside would be the ring...
But I would never propose cos I ain't planning on marriage...
Thats just an example of something you could do... I mean, like i said.. you would have to know what they are interested in before you did anything.

Once I bougth 120 roses...she was at her mom house (they parents are divorced) and I asked to her father to let me make this at her room at her father house...
I filled the room with the roses... I put some in the walls and in the up-wall (I can't remember the name for the wall that is up the head...roof?) with some tape...
It toke me around 4 hours because I had to fix the roses and take out the thorns... and put them in special places...
I can't describe her face but I think that you can imagine that :)

Romance changes from person to person.
For me? I love it when he sings to me.
Or puts the radio on and dances with me, alone, in our apartment.
One of the most romantic things we've ever done is watch a sunset on a beach together.
Simple things are often underrated.

So true... I personally like looking at the stars and talking.. but as I said.. it vaireis from person to person, so you have to judge the situation. It depends what kinda of woman i am with I guess.

Good questions.
First I'd have her come to my place, where I'd have a nice home cooked dinner waiting for her. After we finish I'd take her out to one of the nicest plays being performed at a theatre in Toronto. Once the plays end, we'd walk to either a nice home-made ice-cream shop or a Coffee house down around Bloor Street.
Expensive? Yes! But well worth it if she enjoys herself.
For me, I'd enjoy anything she has in mind for a fun evening. If she is doing this to enjoy my company, I'm definitely going to make the most of it.

Sadly, I have not had a real girlfriend. *sob*... BUT I'M WORKING ON IT!! Anyway, if I wanted to do something for her, I'd buy some flowers, some chocolates, ya know, the classics, then i'd rent some chick flick and watch it with her, then we could *shudder* talk. Chicks like talking right? I know its not the fanciest thing ever, but hey, it would be nice.
