I'm tired of people voting 5!!!!!!!

Every freakin week the Top 50 has switched around like crazy. Shouldn't the top 50 be the 50 best of all time? Why is it then that none of them were made before 2003? Why is Super Console Wars out of the top ten (I swear it and its sequel are the funniest flashes I have EVER seen), why is the Retarded Animal Babies trio all up there (they are good, no question, but they are not the best, and I don't doubt they'll be gone in six months or so)? Because some people (not making accustaions or anything, but there are obviously some of them AND FAR TOO MANY OF THEM), vote 5 nonstop, and that is all the vote, not even considering 4 or 3. If it isn't a stick film with sticks fighting it out using those dumb Dragon Ball Z moves, people vote 5. I for one, am a little annoyed... thoughts?

In the same way, Wade is tired of people voting 0. I think it's all stupid though. How many times do we have to tell you to just vote how you feel and not let anyone else influence your decision? The creator of this forum is right.

The standard on Newgrounds has been seriously shoved out of whack.

I submitted a flash animation last...who knows? November? December? It was rightly blammed, because while the artwork is good, the animation wasn't. It was not good enough to stay on the portal.

I did an experiment. Resubmitted it. It survived with a score over 2.1. HOW?? How and why? I did -nothing- to change it.

The fact is, people are voting more loosely on crap, giving it a 2, rather than blamming. I suspect their either afraid of being targeted as a person who always blams, or losing out on protection points, since a lot more seems to be surviving unfairly now-a-days.

Things change, yes. But not always for the better.

Lets face it - the voting system is incredibly sensitive and you will probably find that those movies that should be in the top 50 still have awesome scores! i think the most important thing is to look at the flash's individual scores. it usually reflects more of the quality that way. Hey- theres nothing we can do about peoples votes

It's a result of the blam/protect system, and wade cracking down on people who vote 0 on every single thing that comes through the portal. It was supposed to be a long term solution to a long term problem - so while in the near term things are being overated, I'm sure eventually things will even out.
Although this process can be sped along if everyone votes 0 on rockman neo.

I totaly agree. There are too many shitty flash movies slipping through the system. I think Wade scared alot of people when he spoke about voting. However, I don't give a rats ass and I will vote what I feel nessecary. Also, I sent an e-mail to Wade I think expressing my feelings on 1 particular flash that I thought should have been blammed on sight. I was complelely ignored. I don't understand why NG is going down this path but I wish someone would fix it.

What the fuck are you crapping on about 'I don't understand why NG is going down this path' when far less gets protected on the portal then when only a single blam point was given for each movie. What would happen is each movie would go through the top 50 largely ignored, and then the author would spend months voting on their own movies building up the vote until their movie got protected. Crap staying on NG is most definitely not new, indeed, it is part of the history of NG. It is why I love NG so much. stfu all.
