I'm not at all offended by that, however its funny you should mention newgrounds as a place to vent all our crap and the author of the vtech rampage thinks newgrounds allows free speach but I made a thread expressing my distaste for homosexuals starting to talk at schools and make clubs and put influence on the youth, and the thread got locked under the circumstance that it was hate. I managed to reconcile with the other posters about why I posted it but shrapnel the fine mod whom locked it seemed to really put a hate out when I pmed him with some inquirys.

I find this all to be a wiiiii bit hypocritical (lol, wii, wee, lol nintendo....). The game actually wasn't too bad, I mean if it wasn't called V-tech rampage you guys would have no problem at all.

Negative. We have Yahoo DSL, or browser is AOL. I don't exactly know how this works since I didn't set it up, but it's the Browser that claims that it's a phishing site and "has been blocked for your protection."

That was the most beautiful Newgounds-realated speach I ever heard.

I try to contribute to Newgrounds in as best of a positive manner as I can, but sometimes negative things like spam and flame seem to come in my way. Another bad thing about Newgrounds is a group called the "Clock Crew" which I found out about an hour ago after searching through the flash portal. Apparently, they make spam flashes and repeatedly send them to the portal until they pass (sometimes, barely with the minimum score needed).

That's just my two cents, though :P

I kind of get what you are saying with the freedom of expression, and you are right, people vote on these flash movies, and majority said 3/5. God only knows why, but they did.

I think to many people are going to bring up oh, so newgrounds is great becuase we can put out contraversal crap everyday. I think what makes us great is that we have a place for controversial flash artists to show there work where people wills ay omg thats so cool, instead of Omg thats bad you shouldnt do that. Like weve been doing on the Vtech thing, Seriosuly since when did newgrounds become another place for over zealous christians to make fun of people with actuall ideas.

I think Tom hasn't realized what his little creation has become; The Gene Pool has utterly degraded since 2003-4.

Here's my take on it:

Leave it. Why? Because, NG is known for allowing it's users to express themselves no matter how offensive the content is. If it isn't blammed, then it shouldn't be removed. Obviously, someone liked it.

I'm not saying I agree with his message, or find his game entertaining. I'm saying it would be incredibly weak for NG to remove a submission just because some (or most) people find it distasteful. By the way, who is it hurting? Those who were offended by it had the option of NOT CLICKING THE "PLAY THIS GAME" BUTTON! It's not like the submission went out stalking victims to offend! My god...

Also, it appears to me as though the author of the game intended to offend people. He wasn't making a statement, he was just trying to be controversial. With that in mind, why are people so shocked by it? If you know someone is trying to get attention, giving him the attention is only going to fuel his behavior. You people are weak minded.
