Chest Pains? 2007-05-21 01:02:46 Reply

Ok I know none of you are doctors but you could relate so I might aswell get your opinions.

Today I woke up and had sharp tight chest pains, located in the top left region of my chest. I never usually get any chest pains and I don't know what the go is. I don't know if I should just wait it out and see if it goes away or catch a cab to the doctors. Whenever I take deep breaths in the pain feels tight and almost bruised like, same as when I breath out but it's mildly alright if I breathe normally. When I move and stretch my left arm back behind myself (as if I was aiming a gun behind me to shoot someone) I can feel the pain in my chest.

Anyone else had similar problems before?

What to do?

Well, if it starts getting worse, I'd see a doctor. You probably just pulled a muscle, or maybe you slept in an awkward position that made some nerves iffy.

You have high blood pressure. You could see the doctor or self medicate. Caffiene lowers the blood pressure so I suggest taking 80 milligrams twice a day.

Probably just pulled a muscle in your chest. I did that before and it hurt a lot.

I'm gonna go back to my room and be awesome.

Uhh, sometimes, I am kinda half and half. But no way am I some fat kid, I am the opposite really. Last night I had pizza, but yeah, I don't recall getting chest pains when I've woken up besides this time.

I just tell you what my Anatomy book says:

DO NOT IGNORE CHEST PAINS!!!!

Call a doctor immediatly, it is a sign of a heart attack.

or it could be gas.

I can totally relate if this is the same as what I had, but it might be totally different. It just felt like my pectoral muscles were, I don't know the proper word for it, stiff, and when I breathed in it felt like I was stretching them. Doing the regular stretches for it didn't really work, but I did some weird positions lying on my chair with my back on the hair, head and arms hanging down. I also breathed in a lot to try to stretch it.

Or maybe it's something totally different for you. If it's the same, you can stretch to make it feel better and massage it, but it wouldn't really help. You just have to wait it out.

I haven't had it as bad as you, but happened before. Just stretch it out a bit, it should be fine in a week. If it persists or other body parts start to get that way w/o strenuous exercise, I would get it checked up. Your still young, you'll live.

Go see a doctor if it doesn't feel like you just pulled your muscles and you're unsure about it. I wouldn't take the risk. Or go find a friend who's planning to be a doctor and feels qualified to examine you. That's probably not as good an idea though.

If they're sharp chest pains, I'm not so sure.

And sorry for trying to steal topic views for you, but I have a bit of a problem and my topic is dying. I'd bump it, but so far I haven't double posted before and some people have signatures saying that they'll kill double posters. It would be nice if Newgrounds had a feature that lets you bump your topic without having to make a post every maybe thirty minutes, or whenever it reaches the second page. Something like that.

And go see that doctor.

Sounds like the pain isn't in your chest but in your lmph nodes, It could be cancer if so.
Seek immediate medical attention.

It could be anxiety related, Look for the major signs like if you start to feel nauseous or dizzy. It's best to get it checked out, so if it comes again you can rule out the more serious things.

I hope my sig dosen't come out distorted

Yeah I've had that before. If it's what I had will be gone by tomorrow. It wouldn't be anything serious. Try not to worry.
