Well, something similar Halo 2, lots of Ooh-and-Aah's about the graphics, but Halo 2 played like shit in multiplayer, which made its overhyped downfall.

Halo 1 did not fail, it did quite the oppisite. Probs one of the best FPS to date, it was flawed that it had no multiplayer online.

Halo2 was hyped up so much cause everyone loved halo and was excited that the second one would bring online to the title... but since it sucked balls online and the single player was shit aswel it ruined the game.

Halo 3 looks pretty good so far, after playing the beta for a good few days now it plays great online and had some good times. Its great they have brought back the assault rifle and its feeling so much more like halo1 again. I personally feel bungie have got it right this time.

I will just say this, I have been a big fan of Epic games ever since I played the original Unreal. Unreal Tournament is still one of my favorite games of all time. When I first played Halo, I didn't really like it, same goes for Halo 2. But Halo 3 is the last installment of Halo, so I've got my fingers crossed that Bungie and Microsoft Game Studios have put in a little extra effort into this title. There's no doubt that graphically UT 3 will be superior, but thats all based on your taste, gameplay wise, who knows? But saying Halo 3 will fail is bull shit, of course its going to succeed, it's Halo, and the hype, and fanbase of the game are going to make it very popular, even if it is total shit. If UT3 is anything like UT2k4 or Ut2k3 you could say the same for it, UT99 was the only Unreal Tournament to date with a soul. If Bungie uses this beta test wisely and listens, I bet Halo 3 could end up blowing Ut3 away, because so far Gears (Also an epic games title) is glitchy as FUCK. But I still love it. As I said, I will buy both and try to enjoy them for what they are - a game. different games, it all comes down to you.
