PS. A good way to figure out the team order would be for all the people who mainly use stuff included with FL, or lower versions to go first, then for those that use a shit-ton of VSTs to go later.. plus, if need be, we could always convert sections to wav that are using a VST that not everyone has. Either that, or substitute something similar, and always include an MP3 on transfer.

This oughta end up running like a cross between the running of the Olympic torch and throwing a bouncy ball out the window of an airplane...

I suggest the we do it in a similar fashion of the Reason Collab i had going a few months ago. Basically everyone gets a certain number of measures (I suggest 16 or 32). The different segments can be transitioned into each other by a simple bridge like a cymbal roll.

I like the idea of starting a song with a basic idea, and passing it along, each person making changes to it to form into a final product evolved out of everyone else's work..
Putting things section by section tends to sound n00bish..

Since we on the FL team don't have a FTP server (if I'm wrong, let me know, that'll be useful) so I'll just coordinate the whole files thingy. When you get your file done, send it back to me at 8492nd@comcast.net either through email or MSN (if I'm on.)

I'll then get the file sent to the next person in line.

This does require a way for me to be able to contact all of you, so email me/add me to your contacts.

Don't take any part as if it were sacrosanct, don't be afraid to make changes to what other people have put down. In fact, if you don't change this little bit I'm putting up, I'll smack you.

So the next person in line needs to contact me, and we'll get this ball rolling. I'll keep backups of every .flp zip so we can go back if we need to.

About the .flp- ZIP YOUR .FLP. If you use a VST that is not a part of the FL standard set, zip that up and send it to me. I'll distribute that to everyone.

I want to make sure this one thing is okay. Even though Garageband is a standalone program, may I use other things like AU plugins? What about if I were to Rewire with Live and use VST plugins and the Live instruments? What if I were to use drums made in Live instead of the crappy Garageband ones? I just want to make sure I can do this stuff. Even though we only have two team members, it won't really be as fair seeing as most Garageband sounds suck.

Could you please?? Really, thanks so much for helping us all out. The next step is sending a PM to Tom asking for a bit of extra space for these songs, as they might be bigger than the limit.

Just to help out the other people, you'll need a FTP Client for uploading and downloading the files from LJC's FTP. For Windows, I would suggest Leech FTP and for Mac I would suggest Cyberduck. Both are free and very simple to use.

Since it seems like everyone wants to be in on the action, I'll be a judge.

Oh and, I'd also like to receive the polished and finished .rns file from the reason team when you're done, just cause I like to look at other people's work to learn a thing or two ^^
