Read the whole topic to find out what is going on. Wade, I'm not a important member of the Clock Crew, but I'll say this anyway. Please accept an apology on the CC's behalf. This day will never be mentioned again.
You aren't even clockified and the CC will talk about anything the CC wants to.

Sorry about that statement. If these forums had an edit/delete feature, it would be really handy. I have no position in this, and should remain quiet. Sorry.

It's nice, how the blam/protect system increases the amount of views new flashes get. It's a shame, though, to have a system that rewards people for going with the crowd.

If you have a unique reason for appreciating a flash, the blam/protect system says, ignore it.

Deleting all the entries, fine, you have plenty of fair reasons. It's the "Ooo, free blam point!" people who make me think that Newgrounds has an unhealthy voting system.

On the other hand, if it can motivate a group as big as the CC to get together, hundreds of people learning to animate, sharing their progress and collaborating with each other to create cooperative animations, plan special events and hold contests for the members, then of course Newgrounds is doing well.

I think the Clock Crew is the best testament to Newgrounds around. A real community forged out of the chaos here. Fair play to Clocks.

ZombieLincon raises a important question, most votes in the portal are cast not to be fair, but because people go "I Like this, but it will probably get blammed" and so it is a dark circle, living on itself.
The dilemma here is that when newgrounders act under this mass conciouss they do it "fairly", we do it to fast, a "flood", and suddenly it is illegitime. What I mean to say is simple; We were a small army of ARTISTS, atleast we had made works of flash. And hardly was our voice represented.

That of which I speak ofcourse rules out the fact that Wade and the other admins acted in a somewhat paniced way (not to mention wrathfull, deleting the old duck.fla for no reason.)

Merely trying to say, much like ZombieLincon said, do not forget; We are a part of this community aswell. Not some foreign attack force bent on its destruction.

This event clearly got out of hand pretty quickly and I understand the reasons for deleting all of the movies (pushing other movies out of the portal, assumed attack etc.).
What I do not understand is Wade's incessant insults and threats.
Threatening to close down .cc and telling Absinthe to 'Shut the fuck up' are not statements that inspire me to respect Wade as a member of staff.
This thread reminds me exactly why I don't use the NG BBS, the flaming and idiotic posts just piss me off.
ClockCrew is where it's at. Where there's <3 for all who want it.

I'd want Wade's babyies if he does that!

Why do bizarre circumstances like this have to happen in my sleep?

I can't say I support the flooding, although I do find some duck.fla content funny.
I kinda got an idea for The Six Million Dollar Duck myself that might be funny, but I wouldn't submit it anytime soon, I would've kept it at the forums.

What was the real purpose of the flood? A day would've been fine I guess since other artists still get some exposure but a scheduled flood would've only fucked everyone over.
It should have ONLY been a collaboration from the very beginning, that's essentially what this was except all of the themed content wasn't packed together as it should've been.

Stop looking at this from the perspective of the clockcrew or Wade, between their fighting there was a whole group of artists suffering because of it.
Well, maybe not since the flood was removed within minutes, it was still terribly unfair to them though.

Everyone makes mistakes, I just think that the clockcrew failed to see the consequences of their actions (outside of the punishment of deletion and suspension threats) and also of the over-reaction of the staff, the problem was fixed in minutes but a need to debate about it still exists? Something is not right there.

Well, those are my thoughts, don't take it any wrong way please, I don't think it was meant to cause any harm, but I don't think the administration should recognise it as an attack but only as an extremely ignorant action on behalf of the clockcrew.

its funny, with Wade we get all submissions deleted. with Tom, we probably wouldve had a collections page made.

Go figure.

In my opinon this is the best thing the CC has done in a long time.

Just to be fair, Tom probably dirties his hands with a few deletions too but doesn't talk about it.
I mean, he has to put up with the same shit too but he may have taken it a bit more lightly.
We can't really say though, Tom's on his honeymoon right now so we have no idea how he would've handled this.
