With no contest for the leadership for the Labour party, Gordon Brown has officially become the next Labour leader and Prime Minister when Tony Blair steps down.

Nice, that - I'll stay on until the end of the leadership race...and when it finishes in less than a week, I'll still hold on until that date.
The use of Blairite hand gestures by Brown lately, though, indicates we're fucked: and, let's face it, if he loses the next Election due to Blair hanging on so long he's given Gordon a poisoned chalice, we'll get David Cameron.
And, on that depressing note, I think I'll leave it for tonight.
Well, after this it's ripping into people for being fucking ignorant at great length anyway...

I'm not sure about Brown. I find myself only tolerating him because he is Scottish - he has made a hash of things as of late, such as house prices.

And there was his plan about the NHS Cuts, where 18000 people would lose thier jobs, whilst denying recently graduated doctors and nurses the chance to secure a job, as a substantial amount of hosptials will also be closing down.
However, the Conservatives have launched many campaigns against it.
