Yeah I don't think people should get to pissed off it's not actually going out of its way to make fun of the victims. All it does is retell the events much like the media does all the time. In game form however it seems to be much more offensive.

I put close to zero credence in reviews due to various spam groups propagating their agenda of awards manipulation and the vast morass that is ignorant, unquestioning public opinion (amongst other things), but I feel compelled to review this flash despite the almost inherent futility of the act.

First and foremost, I commend you on how you conveyed the events of the massacre. People playing the game had to follow a rough parallel of the final day of Cho Seung-Hui's life to advance the story. You included some popular conjecture of Cho's motives that has been circulating around the internet into this storyline, but that definitely fits the bill stylistically considering the various internet slang and memes referenced throughout.

While the pixel graphics were adequate the sound is where you really excelled. People familiar with the case will instantly recognize the song "Shine" by Collective Soul. Cho listened to this song compulsively and even inscribed the lyrics on a dorm wall. During the second phase of the game that includes a stealth-based theme, Mr. Brownstone is played. This is a reference to the name of a disturbing play written by Cho. At Norris Hall, where the main massacre takes place, there are many witty aphorisms you included that Cho seemingly thinks to himself during the massacre. Some of these include the extent of the damage he inflicts, the killing of false idols (which he mentions in his manifesto), and of course the Zerg "bullet" rush. A particularly interesting quip is intoned after killing Professor Liviu Librescu.

All in all, this was a decent game rife with entertaining witticisms that demonstrate this was all done in jest, with no real malicious intent. It was unique and for the most part, well thought out. Sure, some will infer that this was made in poor taste. Maybe a disclaimer asserting sympathies to anyone involved could have been handy to help people generally acquiesce, while simultaneously letting your true intent be conveyed. This deserves recognition, but I fear it will be the wrong type.

On the day this game was created (or so) I read a incredible review, and I thought that if this wasn't said again, than it wouldn't be said anywhere. Unless the original Author AstralProjection were to come to this post and say it again. Simply brilliant.

Tom made a strong statement by keeping club-a-seal and allowing 911 and columbine flashes to stay. the site is notorious for having objectionable material and poor taste flash. You have stick figures partaking in homosexual intercourse and hentai movies where some girl is raped by tentacle penis monsters!

We let it in, it passed our judgement, it is uploaded to the site until it is blammed from low scores or the author takes it off himself! To take it down now will only negate everything we are based on. you can take it off the front page if you wish, but do not delete it from the site!

If he feels that he wants to make money off of people hating his flash, though immoral (somethings telling me he doesn't much give a damn about morality regarding the flash...), he can, but i'm not going to say that his flash is no longer good enough.

Not content to stop there, the author, PiGPEN, has set up a page on his personal webpage stating that, if enough people deposit money in his Paypal account, he'll take the game down.

It seams like it was only done so PiGPEN would get money and attention. Best to ignore the prick.

I'm just going to use the ostrich approach to this game. If I don't see it, it's not there. I'll probably forget about it in a day anyways.

I believe the v-tech rampage game should remain on newgrounds and the internet because its not mocking the tragedy at Virginia's Technology College. It was re living it not mocking it, mocking it would be saying "HAHA People at V-tech died". Having it as a game was a not a really great represent ion for this but its his judgment.

I am sure he feels horrible for what happened at the college, but I don't agree with the decision to take away his right to have a game on the internet. He really cant talk for himself because you all have quick judgment on this poor fellow for doing this. If he said something you would be quick to shoot it down. I cant say "I think he didnt mean this" because I have no idea maybe he does but I do not think that this game needs this much attention.

Thats my final statement, if you leave it alone we will all forget about it. He doesnt deserve our attention if he wants us to get so pissed off we pay for him to simply delete a movie off of newgrounds. Just ignore it and this whole problem will go away.

But now he is trying to charge people who find this a terrible deed to wipe it off the internet? This is a terrible deed, and I don't live it one it. It was fair for him to make the game that makes everyone pissed off but to try to charge people to get rid of it? Now hes just being self centered if he wants you to pay him just ignore it. I don't think that attention should be given to someone who so utterly doesn't deserve it.

I believe it should be taken down immediately. Even though I've seen other offensive Flash games/animations, this is going way too far.

I'm two sided. I think it's offensive that there's a flash of the V-Tech Massarce, however I do not personally take offense to it.

However, I do take offense that he's trying to profit from it though.

I agree with this guy. I understand, this is Newgrounds and the internet as a whole, its sometimes hard to keep things off of it and whatnot, and/or have "control" per se, I've made some weird-ass flash stuff with a friend of mine, though part of it was mainly his doing idea wise, when it was offensive. But we always tried to stray from making real offensive stuff.

Anyway, the game, well, making it is all and good sort of, but him making money off of it? that just boggles my mind.

I've talked to PigPen on Aim before, and he's on my buddy list, just because well, yeah. Anyway, and I knew he was a bit fucked up or something with some of the shit he would say. But I would overlook it, but now with him making this(which i just found out), was one thing, but him charging money for him to TAKE IT DOWN, TAKE IT DOWN for fucks sake, I think is crossing the line.

Not the same.. His flash specifically exploits the hurt caused by V-Tech. He is using that hurt to gain publicity and make a buck. Fuck him.

While I personally could care less about whether or not the game stays because of its content I say it should be removed. The reasons for this are simple, the guy is trying to make money through a flash by having people pay him to take it down, and even going as far as to have people pay him to appoligize.

I feel as if that is the only reason it should be taken down, Newgrounds has hosted more "extreme" content than that game multiple times. Its not a matter of weather or not the flash is here because of what it displays, its a matter of support in this guy's efforts to rip people off. He is even advertising his site in his comments.

To me, I think for those reasons, and those reasons alone, the flash should be removed. Its quality is not very high, the gameplay is horrible, and the game doesn't even really tell you exactly what to do, I'm sure that last one is something no one should have a problem with though since many people already know what events happened.

Whether or not it is removed, only time will tell but someone should not be given the privilege to exploit others in the manner he has done, its just wrong.

At least someone on this website is finally making profit.

I think taking the game down will create a slippery slope of what can be removed out of "poor taste." Granted the kid is an ass for making it, but so are a large number of people who submit to the portal. Also, taking it down may give him more attention.

If the stupid fuck wants to keep it up on his own website, we can't stop him, but we can certainly deny him more exposure, as is generated by leaving this game on NG.
