Some people wrote something about freedom...if i am correct, , someone's freedom ends when the others freedom starts. These people should ask themselves: is this game violating the victims and victims friends and family freedom to be respected ?
My answer would be: YES.
Then, again, wouldnt we be violating this guy freedom to express himself, even if he is doing it in a horrorific way ?
Ironicaly, the answer is yes again.
So, the dilemma here is: go is crossing the line and who is stepping on it ?

Freedom to be respected? huh?
And no, the game is not "violating the freedom of the victims to be respected", rather, it's just being disrespectful.

We never cared how things played out about these kinds of flashes mocking events, why should we now? So NG can get some hero points for taking it down? Does no one remember Club a Seal's responses?

Yeah, the minutes I wasted playing it.
It should be taken down. This is a horrible attempt at trying to gain fame. The other movies and and games for other tragediesin this collection are much better and more deserving to be in there than the V-Tech Rampage.

This game is a pathetic cry for attention indeed. It should be a crime to make such a piece of.. I refuse to call this "art". It should be removed immediatly. A piece of work that glorifies such a tragedy in a way such as to promote it has no place anywhere in this world, let alone where so easily accesible. To reinact such a tragedy is a moral crime in itself.
<{([HAVE IT REMOVED!])}>
---s.Aint---
(P.S. And to think that someone would try to make money off of it. To profit off someone elses tragedy is a selfish and sick thing to do. Mind you that's what modern day media is all about. But still, where it you heart?)

What a pathetic little goon. He is trying to blackmail/bribe people into taking his game down? What a little fruit.
For that reason alone it should be taken down. Honestly, trying to bribe people into removing his game? What a loser. He can defend his game all he wants as a "work of art" and "free expression" and "just something I do" but there is no defense for trying to be bribed to remove his game. Trying to profit off a game you made simply because it is controversial.
What a loser. And I hope you do read this. You are scum.

Dude, Newgrounds was meant to make fun of tragedies. A lot of movies and games in the Bastard collection are crap. I'm not saying it because of bad taste, but because the gameplays and animations are shit. VTech Rampage was a well made game. That game is gaining infamy.
It's not against the rules to make fun of tragedies.
Maybe you're just saying this because the massacre was recent.

I said it clearly that taking it off Newgrounds can't stop him from hosting it on some other site, you dumbass. And I'm aware people die each day, and it's more than 33 people a die, it's more like 100's. And you say I don't care? Mhm, HOW THE FUCK DO YOU KNOW? How can you say that, honestly without even knowing who I am? That's a false call you just stated there buddy.
I'm not getting so called you say" my panties bunched up" because of some war games or this game. I just didn't like this game nor do I like war games. I could care less, I just shared my opinion with a thread but I should have known there would be assholes like you to respond with your stupid ass morals. But hey what do I know?

People saying remove it and not even giving a reason are lame at least state your position.
It might have been a bit too soon, but many forget that it didn't take long for 9/11 related flash or tsunami type flashes. Heck the day Steve Irwin died there were flash submitted that day. Oh how the people got upset over that and the others. IDid any of those get removed, nope.
That is exactly why this one should stay. Eventually the news will move on to something new. In timepeople will not even pay attention to the flash. Heck If Target Practice is still there can you really remove this?

Leave it alone, if you take it down then the " Bastards " section would be meaningless.

I don't really care about stuff liek this because no one i know that is close to me has died in a situation like this but the people who make these games should meet the people who have had their loved ones die because of those things and than see if they will still keep it up. I'm pretty sure they would take it down with no charge.

About the donation thing.
I did it as a joke in response to all the angry people and to prove a point about them....
...as angry as they act screaming for it to be taken down, given the chance to actually do something about it they wont do shit but scream a bit more. And i was right....not a cent. The only thing adding the donation thing do is made them scream some more.....personally i see that as a job well done. (I could totally use some money though....lol).

Honestly I throughly enjoyed it. on another note, if you did not know a v-tech victim then you can complain. If you don't know anyone then you need to shut up! If you "know somebody that knew somebody that was a victim" then I am third generation DON'T GIVE A FUCK!
If all death is equally tragic or you believe that all men are created equal then I suggest you look at the 138 people that died the day after V-Tech... granted they were from another country but they were just as "innocent" as the people at V-Tech.
IN MY OPINION, I believe that they should have removed him from that atmosphere before things got back. Also if you pick on someone that much... you deserve to get shot. Sad but true.
he was messed up in the head. He had a mental disorder but that alone will not push someone to commit acts of murder. Don't pick on kids and you wont get shot is the moral here.
So instead of getting all twisted up about some game. Then I suggest that you cite your opinions somewhere people car.

Let it be.
I laugh at those suggesting we should take it down because of the way the media might interpret us. That's not something we should ever care about. If it was, we'd have a giant bunny as a logo instead of a tank and a user-friendly slogan like 'Everything, by everyone."
...forget that last one.

No one is innocent. if i was shot by a person i picked on i would not be pissed one bit.
your supposed "innocent" people were liberal pricks.
look at the weapons Cho used... a Walther P22 and a Glock... these are PISTOLS and they are for single targets in real life. i he was randomly shooting people then he would have purchased AND modified the Automat Kalashnikov model of 1947 and then shot up V-tech. he knew what he was doing and he planned accordingly. he was a good marksman and a fast reloader. he trained and acted accordingly.
but if you twist my words you do not get the meaning. i said "if you dont know a victim then dont bitch" close to what i said.
now if my family was killed it violates three laws... it was not a school shooting.
they would not kill my family for my wrongdoings. and i KNOW the victims.

If you are going to debate with someone about who is innocent, don't bring up that bullshit. Of course you'll be angry. You'll even be angry if they beat you up, or insult you back.
Also, having training with pistols doesn't mean that Cho had specific people to kill, he just shot whoever on target.

if he is trained he shoots well, quickly. and precisely who he means to.
you cant disprove that he was picked on... but you can prove it.
in about a 2 months any care or subject matter displayed on this subject will be disregarded and tossed to the side.
where are all the people who were pissed about the Columbine game?
this "petition" is a cluster fu*ked disaster, and all it will amount to is maybe a news notice and then it will fade from existence.
World War II had 3million "innocent" casualties... yet there are still World War II games being made... are you protesting?
as soon as this is old news... who cares?

At 5/15/07 04:54 PM, Ross wrote: You might have heard about this game V-Tech Rampage. In it, you play the person responsible for the April 16, 2007 massacre at Virginia Tech, and it's your job to carry out the notorious events of that day. True to life, the game ends (and you "win") when you complete your mission and kill yourself.
This game's starting to get noticed around the Internet, and as you might imagine, most people don't think too highly of it. BlogCritics described it this way: "The game is riddled with embarrassing typographical errors, the ridiculous screens that follow failure are beyond pathetic, and the choice of music is sure to cause copyright issues. It’s a sad cry for attention, and a miserable use of a tragedy in an attempt to reach that goal." Kotaku.com says, "V-Tech Rampage doesn't bring anything more than shoddy, tacky game play to the table. Free speech and free expression are great. Just make sure you've got something to say."
Not content to stop there, the author, PiGPEN, has set up a page on his personal webpage stating that, if enough people deposit money in his Paypal account, he'll take the game down. Some of the people weighing in on this feel that we should pre-emptively take it down, especially in light of PiGPEN's attempt to profit from it.
Does this game have any merit, or is it strictly an exercise in poor taste? Are you offended by it? Did you enjoy playing it? Should it be taken down? What do you think?
In all honesty, the game isn't that great. The graphics are bad and the controls make things difficult. There are way to many ways to fail, too. The fact that he's trying to make money by saying he'll take down the game is horrible, especially since his work isn't that bad. I think it should be taken down because not only is it a bad game, He's using it as a ploy to make money.
