I need to start reading topics more fully. Wouldn't it also be a violation of rights or something? But as you said, he was the bigger man.
Not necessarily. The owner does have the right to refusal of service. Whether O.J. believes it was a racial bias or not, then he might be able to sue the owner, which I highly doubt he will.

OJ is anything but the bigger fucking man. You already knew about his book deal.

He kicked OJ out of the resaurante for no other reason than he was charged and acquitted for murder years ago. We're not talking about whether or not the manager had the right to do what he did but rather whether what he did was ethically right.

I agree with this, but he was the bigger man in this situation, at least.

The owner believes OJ murdered two people.
How wouldn't refusal of service be ethically right for the owner?

Yes, which was surprising to me, too . . . until I read that his lawyer planned on suing the owner.

isnt that grounds for a libel lawsuit and public embarrasment, with some emotional trauma added in? i hear he's hard for money... he should look into it...

Two things:
He didn't say anything other than "please leave", which isn't libel.
OJ wasn't in public. He was inside a private establishment.
with some emotional trauma added in?
He'd probably go for it, or at least he'd have publicity-starved lawyers salivating over his potential court time, on the prosecuting side this time.
That's heinous, I know.

Stupid people.
Damn...... I honestly can't tell if you're joking or not. But I'm leaning towards, not.
O.J. did it! We all know it. He got away with it in the criminaltrial. (Mostly because the Prosecution team F-ed up). But he was found to be responsible, in the civil trial.
There was also that book he was promoting recently...... The one about how he would have killed his wife, IF he was the murderer. A nice little, sick, twisted, and obscene joke on his part.
O.J. is the one continuing to make an issue out of it. But maybe there was a more practical reason why he was asked to leave........ Some restaurants don't have a Smoking section. Perhaps this one didn't have a Murderers section.

Hmm sounds to me the manager is a prick, OJ may not have been innocent and he may have been innocent, either way, he had a great lawyer and he didn't get imprisoned because of that. Luckily he didn't make a scene, he was the bigger man and walked away with the orange juice.

shows that the justice systome sucks either way, you go to prison and you server your time and get out and their are virtually no options for jobs etc available to you.(though for murderers their shouldn't be but that's my view, i draw the line somewhere from fraud/theft to rape etc)
you go on trial for a crime you did not commit(even if 100% eveidence shows you didnt) you still get the suspicious eye.
though in O.J's case they never found the killer.

1 - He wasn't found innocent, he was found not guilty. But that wasn't the case in the civil trial.
2 - Despite being open to the Public, restaurants are Privately owned establishments. The Manager or Owner can refuse service to anyone they don't want in their place..... for any reason. Some states require the establishment to put up a sign that says so. Other state don't require a sign.

No, but I'd have one of my "loyal" waiters try and snatch it away from him secretly, and then boot him out. He'll never know what hit him.

Then your only problem is getting rid of it. I would suggest you wait for a group of people who are very annoying/demanding of their waiters time for stupid reasons etc, etc. Then at the end of the meal, present them with said 50 dollar bill, and watch them get all excited over it.

Normally, I'd be on OJ's side; him being acquitted and all. However, he tried to publish a book on how he would've killed his wife had he killed her.
The man is an idiot. He doesn't deserve food.
Someone once asked me why I call myself Unimportant. Simple, I said. As a nihilist, that's what I see everyone and everything as. In the end, we are all Unimportant.
