Ok your circled by hundreds of zombies, you have two weapons to choose from a shotgun or a chainsaw, when you choose a weapon the other disappers.
I say chainsaw.

I agree with the chainsaw. Just fire it up and get to killin' zombies...shotgun's take reloads which wastes time.

Chainsaw...fire it up and run your way through those zombies, chopping everything in your way to bits until you reach freedom....also, with a shotgun they could still live, chainsaw puts them on the ground no matter what.

I just want a full suit of armor. I don't care beyond that. No zombie can touch you in plate mail, and you could just punch the shit out of them. If you got tired, you could just take a nap while they gnaw in vain.

Chainsaw because as you say we are surrounded by Zombies right? Well the only logical thing to do would be grab the fucker and start to sing, Oh Beheading we will go OH Beheading We Will go, OH The heads will fly as Beheading We will go.

These are both Doom weapons.
Eventually in either case, it'll come down to melee bashing. A shotgun can take down some of them at range first, making the melee easier, while it takes a while for a chainsaw to saw through zombies, and tyou start out meleeing.
Shotgun it is.

The gun runs out of ammo, but the chain saw chain will break after a while.
I'm gonna go back to my room and be awesome.

ytue, you run out of gas, but it doesn't happen nearly as fast as running out of ammo, so chainsaw IS your best option reall, at least to escape a tight situation ot getting to a place with a better weapon.
or you could have both, evil dead style :) nothing beats a chainsaw and a fistfull od BOOMstick :D

What people stupidly don't realize, it that a chainsaw won't instantly dismemeber anything, it'd take a second or two to chop something off. I'd go with the shotgun, even if I run out of ammo, i can still use it as a bludgeoning tool

I would rather have a chainsaw. Sure, a chainsaw can run out of gas, but not near as often as when a shotgun runs out of shells. Besides, if you run out of shotgun shells, all you could do is just hit the zombies with the shotgun, unless you happen to carry a shitload of more shells for the shotgun. It would be even cooler to have a shotgun with a chainsaw attacked, like the assault rifle in Gears of War. :D

In any Zombie situation the shotgun and chainsaw never run out of ammo or gas, it's like a rule or something.
I would take a shotgun, just because I don't want to risk touching or getting hit with zombie juice.

Just played THIS GAME, I bet, lmao.
I liked the shotgun because it had a lot of power, and was easy to reload, and you could kill Zombies from farther away. With the chainsaw, you have to be closer to the Zombies to kill them, and tha'ts someone I wouldn't do in real like. I'd try to be as far away from the Zombies as possible.

They both have there weak points.
Chainsaw - It takes a lil bit to start up because the engine isnt warm plus they run out of gas fairly quickly.
Shotgun - Most likely you have to pump it which doesnt take much time but it still gives the zombies a couple steps at ya, and a long reload time, and what happens when you run out of ammo???
If i was to use something against zombies it would be a .40 pistol and I would keep tons of loaded clips on me at all times, easy to shoot em in the head with and a light weight gun.
Yes I read that u have to choose between a shotgun or a chainsaw but I felt like throwin my opinion in there.

Your screwed both ways.
There are still more problems.
1. Once the chains break, now what?
2. Chainsaws are heavy. Your arms will be tired fighting hundreds of zombies.
3. Possible injurys.
4. Who's lucky enough just to go through hundreds of zombies with a chainsaw? You can't barge into them. One bite=gameover.

For those who dont think chainsaw, the reason for it is clear. After firing it up, it may take a second to kill the zombie, but you move on. So then combine runnig with that, and you can make a path for yourself out of the circle. Just keep slashing, is all.
