Today I realized that life seems to get more and more twisted each and every day.
I recently broke up with my girlfriend. We were only going out for 2 months, so it wasn't such a big deal for either of us when I dumped her. I thought of it as a heroic thing to do actually, because it turns out she was beginning to fall for me, and I on the other hand didn't really feel the same about her. I just thought of it as a fling. I decided to end it myself early, despite how much fun I was having to save her from more hurt in the inevitable future.
Anyways, I made my ammends with her, and her and I seem to be getting along just fine.
The other day I ended up spending the day with some friends of mine, for it was Cinco de Mayo. One of the friends, who we'll call Jill (not real name), is best friends with my now ex-girlfriend. It ended up being just me and Jill watching a movie at her place.
Let me tell you, me and Jill have this weird relationship where despite us only knowing each other for a few months, we act and talk as if we've known each other for decades.
Turns out, I seem to have a big crush on Jill.
Is it morally wrong for me to try to pursue this?
I mean I just broke up with her best friend.
P.S. - I'm 99% sure that she also likes me back. There was lots of flirting. Plus I'm good at telling when a girl likes me.

Depends. She hot? Good personality? Smart? if not, it may not be worth it. It all depends on the chick.

Morally? No, but you might look like a dick in the end. I can understand wanting a good time, but wouldn't it be smart to just go out with someone who you actually wanted to be with?

At the time you broke up with your ex-girlfriend, were you two guys cool, or was it like some kind of sitcom breakup?
If you guys didn't have too much of a disagreement, then I think that you should go for it. On the other hand, if you had a "you did this" kind of break up, that's a red flag, bro.

i say rape her! JK JK JK ok my opinion is not to go out with her since she is the best friend of the girl who now hates u and now the girl who now hates u will make up fake lies about u and u will fall into the trap of girls.... or just somehow ruin their friendship like i did when my friend turned gay and fell for another gay man

No.
Unless you had something truly emotionally invested in your ex-, and she knows and felt it too, then it's A-ok to BE YOURSELF and DATE HER FRIEND.
Unless you're just looking for pussy, then stay away from the friend at all costs. They'll fuck you over bad if you try to play them both. BAD.

Step up to the plate, don't be afraid of that ball. Hell, you may get beaned, you may get walked; Or maybe, just maybe, one lucky kid will go home with a baseball you smacked clear outta the park.
