China is taking measures towards stopping global warming, their government is trying to do everything it can.

Read it! China will surpass the US as the worlds largest greenhouse gas emitter this year or next year! They have 1/5th the economy of the US, yet they are going to produce more pollution. So yeah... they are doing everything they can huh? That's funny, because they don't give a fuck about anything other than growing their economy recklessly, they are building coal power plants every day.

They are going to produce twice as much pollution as we do by 2030 at the rate they're going. And what's funny is morons like you think that they are nice environmentalists and the US is just the evil polluter, yet we are spending way more on reducing pollution than they are.

And of course, you're probably one of the morons that is pissed that the US didn't sign on to the Kyoto Protocol, yet you were entirely unaware that China doesn't have to obey the Kyoto protocol even though they are going to be the worlds largest polluter in a year or less. Anything the US does to reduce pollution will be negated by the fact that what carbon we don't produce will be consumed by China instead.

Nobody really disputes that global warming is happening, they are disputing whether or not we are causing it, or that it we can prevent it, which right now there is no proof. The earth has gone through similar periods of global warming (and global cooling) many times in the past, long before humans even existed, let alone had the ability to produce greenhouse gases.

You make it seem as if the entire Government of China is responsible for the pollution itself.

Let me tell you this: Many factories and industrial areas of China have already gotten their power consumption minimised, but some of them are just persistent enough to start using an illegal fossil fuel which is cheap but emits a ridiculous amount of pollution, death and misery. This is not a government fault but an individual fault, yet you blame every one?

No... that's not my point at all. My point is that the criticisms of the US are unfounded and based off misinformation. The whole global warming charade of late is designed to attack the US, or persuade the US to sign on to the Kyoto Protocol which is designed to reduce greenhouse emissions. But China and India are immune to Kyoto, therefore having the US sign on to it will be pointless, especially considering China's pollution growth is being held down by the fact that the US consumes petroleum that China can't have. If the US reduced our consumption of greenhouse gas-causing fuel, China will just come in and take it, thereby making it pointless.

Um... China is one of the most tightly controlled economies in the world, nothing goes down economically without them having a say over it. China's government is entirely to blame, they aren't a democracy, the government there can usurp power over anything.

First of all, China is only slightly smaller than the US. Secondly, that's not even true anyway. Australia is 10 times larger than Germany, yet Germany has about 4 times the economic output. Italy is probably 1/30th the size of Russia, yet it has more economic output as well. There are a whole slew of factors that lead of to economy, land mass is rarely a part of it.

um sorry about the no "full stops".Its some thing i do when i get a good idea.but some countrys are scaryed to make nuclear power plants.realy it the way to go and in 30 years you will see more and more nuclear plants

the human race will not last for ever and the sun has a high gravity so it sucks it in.the sun will burn out in a couple of million years so rely in the long run we all die
