While this article is correct in attributing these occurences to the Qu'ran and traditional Muslim Law, the majority of Islamic practioners are, in fact, peaceful. Grouping all of the different sects of Muslims together is like grouping all of the Christian denominations together - the Ku Klux Klan and Branch Davidians alongside Baptist Ministers and Protestants.
