Well, sorry but you should have read the entire post before posting.

I said that the game is NOT a spore rippoff. I also said that it will not be 3D. As much as we all want 3d, its still too difficult at this stage.

poo... but, i guess 2d will be ok mybe kinda fun. I went and watched that video on spore. Looks CRAZY.

It's a pretty risky thing to do considering your game will most likely be released at a very similar time to the actul game.. the game industry are getting pretty big on protecting their IP these days and I'm sure a game that values it's concept as much as Spore will be very keen to uphold that.

Bah...I guess no one understands, hmm? I dont want this to be Spore. I want this to be a unique flash evolution game, LIKE spore.

I shouldn't have put Spore in the title, so I take the blame for it.

Well, AS3 will allow us to make many new enhancments to your creature withought lagging everything up. It will also allow us to spawn dozens of creatures on the screen for you to eat or be eaten by. Basically, yes, the speed is the major part, but the pure beauty is a part as well. You could have a blob that actually responds physically as a mendable gooey amoeba of fun.

all that I can say is dont half ass it.
I've been waiting for spore for like 2 years and if you half ass it itll crush me and ill blam it xD

This game COULD be incredible if you do it well.

If you can you can try and put a character creation thing in but itll probs be really difficult in as so whatever :S

Yeh it would be awsome to make it in 3d. I just got 2 books on AS3 today. 1 of them is just AS3 in general, the other is using AS3 for graphics purposes and animating. It's really impressive what you can do in the 3d department. I just looked it over and there's culling and lighting. Too lazy to see what other goodies it has in store for me x3

On topic though if you really could make this game then I would love it. Evolution has always intrieged me and I can't wait until Spore comes out. I'm pretty sure that deep down I really did want my new computer just for Spore. But also Half Life <<
