Guild Wars keep crashing

I am playing guildwars for 22 months now, but the last 2-3 months guildwars starts crashing. The game freezes, after a few seconds the screen turns black, and the sound keeps repeating the same. Than my is pc going to sleep, nothing i can do, only reset it, what's the problem ?:(

I haven't played GW in a while, but when I did a few days ago it seemed fine.

Either virus scan or maybe your PC is getting old. (But then again, my PC is seven years old and it is working fine! :D)

22 months, nice. I managed to play 9 months before my guild split appart and my other friends quit. I quit a while ago so I wouldn't know if the crashing is normal or not. Maybe try asking around at guildwars.ogaming.com

it sounds like some other program might be running in the background. Check what things are running and do a virus scan. Usually when audio repeats like that it means its lagging or your computer sucks.

No matter what I'm doing, every so often (quite a lot recently) my computer completely freezes and if there's sound it repeats. It might be the same.

lol, i got a life i play it 4 times a months, not more, but every time i play it it crashes :(, btw virus scan doesn't solve the problem

+ i got a pentium 4, 3.0 Ghz, videocard ATI Radeon 9800 SE, think that not sucks

I love Guild Wars. I'm leader of a guild with 80+ members. Have to divide my time with it between the Clock Crew forums and Newgrounds.

Maybe you should try scanning as said above a few times.
Try Lavasoft Ad-Aware. That should do the trick.
After scanning, defrag the computer but going to My Computer>right click hard drive>Extra>Defrag now. Or something similar :)

Problem solved.
I've scanned my pc for some virus, it has found 2 worms.
+ couple days later my videocard's blower was broken, so it could be the worms, or the overheating videocard, i guess the last one, how longer i play the game, how more the grapics turned weird, until the pc crashes, (graps didnt go weird with gw, only with oblivion^^) thx to a new blower on my vid card the pc runs without crashing etc.:d
