Eyeballs:Art or Not?

Prepare for a personal insite of me!
My dad be a CSI (yes, a crime scene investigator. No, not in Vegas, Miami, or New York) and my sister (total spaz) decided it would be cool to get a picture of our families eyeballs. Back to the camera, he uses Canon camera with a macro lens. It can get the smallest detail out of the smallest things. Yay for my personal history!
No my sister is not a drug addict, and is an ex-alcoholic.

Yes, I believe eyeballs are a form of artwork... Especially eyes like the one you have captured in that picture. There's much detail, and the colors completely balance and complement each other.. Simply put, it's stunning.

If you mean the 'strands' in the iris, those aren't veins or arteries, those are muscles, actually. But if you mean the red lines in the white area, then you are correct. But I'm surprised if you haven't seen those before.

Eyeballs are very interesting, and very diverse. If you have an eyeball, or even slightly interested, take a picture of your eyeball, and post it.

Nerdage, can use less flash. We found out if you hold an LED (non incandescent [the ones you buy at K-mart] flashlights) off at an angle, you can getter better detail. Great eye, but wish I could see more detail. Recommendation: use another person to take the picture.
Oh, about the Eyeballs: Art or Not? thread. It's more of an opinion based thread to see whether or not you guys think eyes have an artistic sense to them. I'm glad to see that you guys are interested in this. I didn't think this thread would get far.

the funny thing is, that's not even with a macro lens hehe i took the pic from a few inches away, but with the resolution of my camera i was able to crop it to a large size from just a portion of the image. I have to take a picture of my wife's eye, she has crazy speckles in them
