okay, so one of mah favorite things to draw is trees. This is probably because there are so many different types of trees in so many different colors with different kind of leaves that grow in different places, etc. Trees all have different textures on them, and so many different kinds of fruit (and other things) can grow on them.

So i was like, hell, if i like drawing trees so much, why not make a thread about it? So this is it: teh tree thread.

This is where you fulfill your most fanciful tree-fueled desires. Draw any kind of tree you want, in any program (msPaint only if it's exceptionally, eye-orgasmically awesome). You can have it growing in any setting, with anything growing from it (lemmings, shoes, cocks, smaller trees, whatever)

So here's mine, a simple tree, drawn then filter-fucked in Photoshop Imageready. and before anyone says anything, i knoe it's disproportionate, but it's a tree goddammit, and trees don't always have to obey the laws of gravity.

I find your picture pretty awesome. If it wasn't for the fact that some of my characters are in the foreground of my picture, and hell breaking lose with the trees, I would post a pick. If you do wish to view my foliage, trees, and drawings, please check out the thread: Original art done in pen?

Thanks for the thing about my pic too, even though it does bother me a little that the proportions aren’t right…. I would like to fix it but it’s kinda hard for me to draw on my laptop because I don’t even have a mouse—I have to use the little touchpad.

I don't think your tree is disproportionate, so don't criticize yourself. It may be hard, but it's for other people to criticize, not yourself. I've done many drawings in my time to think my art is kick-ass, and the ones on my thread are the very few that impressed me, so don't beat yourself up.

Anyway, back to the peaceloving trees ^_^. I'd post up some of my trees, but unfortunately, my computer is in for repairs, so who knows when I'll see it again. I havent really done a full out masterpiece yet, but I have been experimenting.
Trees are all so different and are kind of like snowflakes, no two are alike, which means you can never really mess up. What I would like to do sometime is get a nice size canvas and paint some kind of tree with acrylics. That'd be fun

That's what i like about drawing them, because each drawing will always look different, and you can use all different styles and it will still look great ;D
