Alright, I know people [usually] hate rants, but this is seriously just getting on my nerves. Now what's it about? Fat people. Now, I'm not just going to make a short little "they're ugly" thing, I've acually got a good reason. Alright, the US has got to be one of the greatest countries in the world, if not the best. I want other nations to acknowledge this if they even care about it, but here's the problem... fat people are making us look like dieing slugs that eat bars of grease for breakfast.
Now I remember in 1900's when america WAS the place to be. We were fit, BRAVE, strong, and fair. But these days are gone, and SOME (fat) people give no care about exercise. Here's the deal.
If you want to be fat / not care about your health, go to some freaking third party country that no one cares about, you'rer doing no good for us.
ANOTHER thing that ticks me off is 2 things (both related)
1. Who they blame
2. McDonalds (and all fast food, but mostly McDonalds
1. If you're fat, don't say "OH IT WAS MCDONALDS FAULT", while you're shoveling down a supersized fake hamburger covered in salt and grease. I'm well aware McDonalds.... just... sucks in all ways, and I know they're half the problem, but if it's all their fault here's an idea. QUIT EATING IT.
2. Now this is probably the thing that makes me most furious. I DON'T care if you want to make adults fat, McDonalds, they know if it's wrong or not, they just think it's aaaalllll going to be ok. I DO care if you're trying to make innocent kids fat. Trying to cover your bad crap that was microwaved and fattening with a cute little clown? "I'm loving it?". "I care more about what's inside her than what's on her?". You sicken me.
P.S. After "Supersize Me" I stopped eating fastfood (except Subway, Quiznos, etc.) because they acually make real food. So don't think I'm being hypocrite.

obesity rate is higher in the European Union than it is in the US . But of course, even they are unaware of that because they don't want to lose their ability to point the finger at the US to ignore their own problems.
Yay, Obama won. Let's thank his supporters:
-The compliant mainstream media for their pro-Obama propaganda.
-Black Panthers for their intimidation of voters.

You have stuff like Deep Fried Coke with Cola sauce, Mc Donald's everywhere and you wonder why your nation is full of fatties?

In numbers there would be more fat people in the United States, not likely for the percentage however. Australia is pretty high up there.

I can acknowledge that the US is one of the most powerful countries in the world, if not the most powerful, but saying it's the best country in the world is a little harder.
What exactly are you basing your idea that it's one of the best countries in the world, if not the best on?
Because the high crime and high poverty rate is detracting from that.

I would just point out that that article only states that seven countries are more obese than America. That is not the majority of Europe, so saying that the 'Obesity rate is higher in the EU than in the US' using that as evidence is jut plain wrong. It shows no figures for the entirety of Europe.
Europe does have weight problems, and in some cases, as the article points out, it is as bad if not worse than the US, but that doesn't excuse the US for having the same problem. Which appears to be what you are trying to do.

Well the US is getting a bad rep because of the antics of our president. When he's pushed out (perhaps even impeached!) of office, then things will start to get better. Still, the US isn't as great as you'd think despite all the many good things about it.
Not the best country, not the worst country either.

You are aware that those countries don't make up the whole of Europe? No, you're too busy pointing the finger at Europe and ignoring the fact that both countries have problems.

Yeah, but it still puts the EU average higher than in the US.
No, you're too busy pointing the finger at Europe and ignoring the fact that both countries have problems.
That's coming from a person who I'm sure thought the US was the fattest nation on Earth, but was wrong of course.
Anyway, I never said the US didn't have an obesity problem. But my point is that people focus their attention on this and ignore their own obesity problem. It's more convenient to ignore the facts if you want to hold on to the typical misguided "Americans are the fattest lolz" jab.

Yeah, it's just hard to tell because most of the world imitates US culture.

No, no it doesn't. No where does it say the entire EU has a higher percentage than the US. It says some europian countries have a higher rate, but not the entire EU.
Learn to read the article and not to just look at the title.

Was wrong of course? Considering America loves dancing in the spotlight and no one ever hears about Finland, Germany, Greece, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Malta, it's no real surprise.
This too will pass.

Basically, if your fat its your own fault.
It just pisses me off when fat people become a burden on the health service and have to go around in those mobility scooters, because they are to fat to walk.
Fat people should pay more tax.

The gist of what was being said, I believe, is that adults (who should know better than to eat McD's as 3 meals a day) should not blame McD's for their own faults, however, their advertising strategies target children in a way to ingrain those problems at a young age. I do have to give them a little credit in that regard, as it seems that they have changed that particular tack in recent years.
The problem on the whole though can't be attributed to one particular cause. Are there people who are fat because they just eat too damn much? Yes. Are there people who are fat because of genetic defects? I'm going to say more than likely yes. Over time, is the number of people who fall into that second category going to increase, both as a discrete number and as a percentage? Probably as well. Is villainizing any one thing or person or company going to help things? Never.
People will do what makes them happy. That's human nature. People eat because they are hungry, and as our civilization (and this is more or less world wide) has come along, creating things with food that are pleasing both to the eye and to the palate has become more of a concern, eating is not simply a survival function anymore. The only way to stop people getting fat is to take the fun and variety out of cooking, and thus eating. And to be honest, I really don't feel like eating gruel every day.
In short, it's gonna happen and nothing we do is going to change people, without taking blows ourselves, people will be fat and that's all there is to it.

For fucks sake Cellardoor, It's a steriotype that americans are fat cunts, it will always be like that, don't get so worked up about it.
How many times have you lowered yourself to using shitty sterioypes like British have bad teeth as a last resort. Even so the average British person has better teeth than an average American due to free Dental care.
Americans will always be fat lazy stuck up bastards
British will always have bad teeth and upperclass snobs or heavy drinking football hooligans.
When neither is paticually true.
