Can someone tell me why blender is so f*ckin' slow?? It starts off okay, but then as I make something, it slows down to a halt, I thought it might be the number of undo's available, but puttin' that on 1 as opposed to 64 makes no difference... annoying.
Blender slows down due to its coding. Don't forget, it takes every object and labels it, and EVERY SINGLE ACTION and with it EVERY OBJECT'S STATUS. So really, when you have about 30 undos queved up, your pretty much looking at 30 different working screens. I fixed this problem simply by using the Decimate command, then afterwards, when I had all the basics done, start the fine tuning. It worked well, and I stuck with blender, unlike the many many many people that have gone to 3D Max.
--One word of advice, I sat down to my Friend's computer, He showed me Maya 6.0, and I still, after years of using that program, think that blender is better.--
