that'd be against the Rules. and... not as much fun!
also pm me so I can see some of your work or something
Well, I followed a tutorial for this, but i learned a lot. The author's a game character artist, so she's got a bunch of notes on efficiency. And the shift+drag. Shift-drag is so useful!
The head is a just placeholder, and i'll add textures later. But i'm happy!! Something i made doesn't look like squashed bricks!
my art.,any requests?Art tech support! pm me if i should start a webcomic. 10+ people think so!

Your best, you should work on detail a bit more, try out sculpting and using normal maps.

the funniest thing is thats the oldest thing on here I have made, it's a year and a half old, but then again I had more heart to do something from Megaman than some room

That actually isn't half bad. It's amazing what lighting can do for a picture isn't it?

Nice. Leaves look good.... maybe some sub surface scattering on it would make it better.... some reflected light would be nice too, but it is very realistic. I am impressed.
Helpful hints encourage growth, and I think you are good enough to continue growing. If i say nothing to help you improve, how does that help?

Getting there. You could really use some reflected light. Looks like you only have one light source and that is deterring from believability of the render. The single light source is very harsh, but even with light that harsh there would be some light scatter in the room. Looking good tho

thanks, your right that light sorce is a bit strong, perhaps a little bounce light would help,
the light is strong enought to seem like direct sunlight, I guess I should pour a couple more hours in to it before I turn it in

Hey everyone, I was told I should post my 3d work in here, didn't know if I should post the concept art leading up to the model elsewhere or what but here is a character model and the concept art I did in pencil before sculpting and texturing the final piece.

Hmm I really like the end results of it's rendering but it's not nearly as cute as it was drawn. What 3d render did you use?
Posted at: 11/25/08 05:33 PM
hehe, yeah about the concept art. I had modeled it after an older sketch, than redrew it later on, which is why the final model doesnt look as much like the sketch as it could have, though im considering re modeling it to better represent the final drawing.
The model was done in Maya, textured in maya, and used in secondlife.

ahh, some nice works guys... here's a little test render I did last week of my 3D woman character - I have since fixed up the reddish glow on the teeth and am just working on the hair dynamics for her... but yeah, she's pretty much ready to animate :)
lol, you guys are probably getting sick of seeing her :P I probably won't show any more of her till I've animated her.
